Interesting. It's not available for us poor, over-exploited folks here in US yet!

Usual stuff that you expect from the MonsterVerse franchise. Could have been a much better watch had it not been for the spoiler-heavy marketing strategy. This WrestleMania for Titans will not bore you at all, has a lot of epic battles and impressive special effects, but it falls short of leaving a memorable impression. Hollywood trailers with their multiple teasers and trailers have reached a point that there is not much mystery left to unfold in the story by the time it reaches the big screen. There are no post credit scenes, so don't bother waiting it out. One time watch for fans.

Watched "Ferrari" on Prime 3.5/5

Its worth a watch for being a true/historical story, overall not that exciting.

One takeaway is that drivers who signed up for racing in those days were infact signing their own death warrants. The movie portays the perils of early motorsports especially without helmet, seat belt, safety cage absolutely no concept of safety.

Blitz
OTT : Hulu
3.5/5

I bumped into this movie and was hesitant to watch as I don't like mindless violence movies and not a fan of too much action as well as most of the Hollywood action movies are like Rohit Shetty action movies- Over the top.

I decided to continue and was pleasantly surprised as Jason Stratham plays a cop and is investigating a cop serial killer in London. The damp, dark London aura and the brit accent add to the overall feel.

Nothing over the top and believable action and villain played by Aiden Gillian was pretty good.

It's not a spectacular movie but, it's definitely worth watching.

Thank you @century for the update. This was one flick I was waiting to watch for a long time. Watched Frank Grillo's "Lamborghini: The Man Behind The Legend". Couldn't help but feel a bit sad knowing that while Ferrari and Lamborghini became legendary automotive giants, their personal lives were full of immense tragedy. Success did come but at a cost.

The Road house :- 4/10.
Amazon Prime.

Featuring Jake Gyllenhaal. It predominantly showcases mindless action sequences and fighting, lacking depth or coherence. It may appeal solely to fans of Gyllenhaal, who exhibits impressive physicality in the film. However, the overall portrayal resembles clichéd Bollywood masala movies, with unrealistic fight scenes and an exaggerated depiction of the antagonist, Conor McGregor, as a superhuman figure.

'Lamborghini: The man Behind The Legend' is waitlisted for long. I will now watch it with Ferrari back to back on OTT after finishing 3 Body Problem on Netflix. And then will watch new MonsterVerse movie with my 7 year old in PVR.

I just finished watching "Lamborghini" after "Ferrari" back to back

"Lamborghini" on Lionsgate 5/5 Its a much better made movie compared to Ferrari.
Lot more passion and emotion portrayed and the storyline is from scratch when Ferrucio started it off as a tractor company.

The yellow Lamborghini Miura shown at the end of the movie looks absolutely stunning and is really the stuff of legends. Still recalling that speedo dial with 40kmph increments calibrated all the way to 320kmph.

I believe its a remake of 1989 cult classic of the same name starring the handsome and talented Patrick Swayze. The original itself wasn't great on storyline / script. It was Swayze's charm that made it a cult classic.

Just watched Ferrari yesterday and wanted to watch Lamborghini next but 499 for Lionsgate subscription made me stopped. So watched Roadhouse 1989 movie till wee hours. The movie was average as someone quoted earlier but no one can deny the sway of Swayze. Salt & pepper bearded Sam Elliot was a revelation to me as I have always seen him with white hair.

I think Ferrari should be a 3 hour movie. All in all, I enjoyed Roadhouse more than Ferrari.

I also think Miura is worth Lionsgate subscription. Will watch today

Re: The English Movies Thread (No Spoilers Please)

I watched two movies last weekend.

Ferrari (2023) on Amazon Prime
Rating - 3/5
At the start of the movie there are too many telephone rings and too many characters without much introductions for most of them.

Ghost in the Shell (2017) on Sony Liv
Rating - 3.5/5
Starring Scarlett Johansson and Michael Pitt, this film is based on the Japanese manga of the same name.
