Antardwand: My Rating 3/5

This is a movie on social issues regarding forced marriages in Bihar. Though it does not have entertaining masala stuff seen in typical big banner movies, its a nice movie that highlights the social issues.

I hardly watch movies and was recently pretty surprised on hearing a few affluent acquaintances raving about a B-grade movie called 'Gunda'. A Google search revealed a cult-status, fan-clubs and popularity among IIT-ians et al.
What exactly is this stuff all about?

Saw Peepli Live last weekend. My verdict 2.5/5

I don't understand what the fuss is all about. It was an average movie, nothing special.

If it wasn't from Aamir Khan Productions, nobody would have bothered to watch this movie.

We Indians just praise any so-called art movie which contains profanity.

Agree with you on peepli. They could not really bring out the message they wanted to bring out. It was too much of a kludge. Nowadays produces skimp on good camera work, and say its the handycam effect. In reality they are too plain lazy to do proper camera work.

Well that says a lot of the amount of water Aamir Khan draws now.

Peepli Live was just a decent movie and nothing to rave about or a classic like the past Aamir Khan starrers like Dil Chahta Hai, 3 Idiots etc.

I saw the trailers of Dabangg recently and it seemed like it was created with masses in mind. I can already imagine that i am going to enjoy that movie ( ofcourse, need to keep the brain at home) as i am a fan of Sallu bhai.

Emotional Atyachar The Movie -

Yes I made the mistake of going !! I have no idea why they made this movie. The show is far better. Talents like Vinay Pathak, Ranvir, Kalki all absolutely wasted.

Except for a joke here or there there was absolutely no fun !

Waste of time and money - 1/5

UDAAN

Watched it on DVD. What a fantastic movie. A must watch.

4/5

Udaan: Brilliant movie about the tug between a creative son and a very dominating father who have no love for each other. Ronit roy has done an awesome role as the tyrant of a father and The actor Rajat suits his role as the son who has a step brother who he didnt know existed. Ram kapoor as the chacha has done a really nice role. He is warm throughout.

Brought back memories of my life in a boarding school. Must watch movie.

4/5

(I am looking forward to Dabangg but wouldnt be surprised if this family venture crashed)

Lafangey Parinday

The story line and the concept was good. But i felt, better cast was need of the day. Somehow Deepika and Neil Nitin Mukesh doesn't suit the roles. Also the skating is clearly done by pros.

Also felt slow. The music is good, direction is good and so is cinematography. Still can't match Hollywood capabilities of producing inspiring movies in sports.

2.5/5
