Just watched Malayalam movies chapters and arikil oraal back to back. Coincidently both from same director sunil Ibrahim. Chapters was a great watch. The now familiar multiple stories and a non linear narrative. The interlinking was pretty good.

Arikil oraal was watchable. Decent suspense but a thin story line.

Just back from Drishyam. The direction is superb, which is what gets you engrossed in the story. First half was not nail biting, but after the interval we are on the edge of our seats, a good thriller. What I didn't like was the amount of violence portrayed in the film, by the police; but then, that is what makes the fulcrum of the engrossment.

Jeethu Joseph it is. Kalabhavan Shajon and Asha Sarath were outstanding. Mohanlal, as usual, was not acting but living.

Funny Fact:
Was watching Sivaji - The Boss yesterday. Mr.RK and the heroine is watching the movie KingKong in a drive in theater sitting in a Prado. Enter the bad guys on a couple of Sierras (to be annihilated) and the fight starts. During the fight the Prado 'transforms' itself into a Scorpio.

Watched Left Right Left, a watchable flick from Murali Gopi. He is an actor / director with real potential.

You are right , one of the best movies made in Kannada after a long time. Even the "item" song was pretty decent . No vulgarity . Everyone can watch. Good story . Almost flawless movie. No foreign location non sense , most locations are in and around Bangalore. The entire movie was shot using a canon DSLR (that's what I heard).

I think low budget Kannada movies are far better than any other kannada movies ever made. No doubt the whole Sandalwood complains about loss.

Good movie indeed. But has Murali Gopi directed any movie yet?

Mea Culpa. LRL was directed by Mr.Arun Kumar & the screen play by Murali.

Watched 24 North kaatham. The last 15 mins were the only saving grace. The rest of the movie was real waste.

Re: The Regional movies thread!

Watched Mahesh Babu's latest movie "1 Nenokkadine" on Friday. I guess the directors are behind Mahesh babu to ruin his career. Too many twists in the story. Apart from Mahesh Babu's acting and his charm to woo the audience, there isn't anything special in the movie.
