Congratulations!

I was planning to buy this a few months ago, but resisted the temptation. Now you've just reignited the itch!

Mind sharing how much you bought it for and from where?

Cheers,
Vikram

In my limited understanding, Best resale would be rolex
I have the Speedmaster. 1974/75, and it is a brute. It was their first automatic and was popularly sold as the Moonwatch. This is the first time I have given it in for any major work. Thanks to SS_Traveller it is now with Swatch Delhi and their time window of three months comes to a close to an end in about a month. Fingers crossed.

This is quite easily available on Amazon India for the princely sum of Rs. 3436!! Worth every penny if you ask me. Grab one now since Im not sure how long stocks will last. It is actually the cheapest model in the G Shock range to my knowledge.

Interestingly, I was almost persuaded to pick one up on my visit overseas earlier this month (I did pick up something else though, pics on that coming up soon on this thread). The cost was 100 Euros, which translates to roughly INR 7500. Im happy I resisted the temptation since its available at less than half that price in India.

Just ordered one from Amazon, though the display model shown here is different from your watch (only difference being Fox Fire vs Illuminator). Hope I've ordered the right one!

Cheers,
Vikram

Hi Vikram,

Congrats and great choice!

Yes this is the correct one. The picture depicted is incorrect on Amazon, so the one which will reach you should read Illuminator. Will wait for your share of pics when you get your hands on it!

I have a few simple ones but my most cherished one is my latest buy from Amazon global store. Its a Ferrari Men's 0830077 Race Day Chronograph Black Rubber Strap Watch.

Which watch do you own?-imageuploadedbyteambhp1501154751.539097.jpg

Its silicon belt is designed to look like F1 wet weather tyres. They look very durable and are extremely comfortable as well.

Nice watch..is this manufacured third parties and branded by Ferrari? Looks to be a big timepiece. What is the case diameter, and does it feel heavy on the wrist?

Hublot makes the premium ferrari watches, while the budget line is manufactured by movado.

As mentioned already it is manufactured by third parties and Ferrari is only branding it. This particular watch has 44mm case and is pretty light weight. Actual weight mentioned on Amazon India website is 73grams. It does not look big in my opinion but yes it is not very small either.

Nice watch, congrats! A few years ago, when I was looking to buy my first Seiko, the Velatura range was on my shortlist (a different model from this one though). It was pretty expensive, around Rs. 40,000 plus if I remember right. However, the size was too bulky and I ultimately went with its smaller brother from the Sportura range.

Seikos are highly regarded and the best part about them is that they have watches in literally every price bracket, from the beginner/casual user right up to the discerning enthusiast or collector. Their Grand Seiko range designs are simply out of this world!

Do share a wrist shot if possible. What are the dimensions, i.e. case diameter and thickness?

re: Which watch do you own?

I am looking to buy a Casio Edifice Chronograph watch. But it is difficult to make a choice given the plethora of models in this range. Any advise on how to make a choice along with recommendations will be appreciated?
