Rohit sharma seems to be a hit. With reason too, since he delivered on a big stage.

But I wonder, where is that prodigy named Suresh Raina ?

Changing ***** at 35 overs is not such a great rule, wonder why the bowlers haven't protested. If nothing, it takes out of the equation one of the most prodigious elements of fast bowling. REVERSE SWING. I agree the ball gets quite dirty mostly in sub continent like conditions, but the umpires should deem fit to change the ball when required than replace it at a particular point in the game and rendering the effort put by the bowling side in trying to maintain shine on one side useless. Rule #1 is definitely a welcome change for the bowlers and ought to be implemented.

Man to watch out from the Aussies end will be Michael Clark IMO.

The tournament was fantastic, but I would like add my comments on various state government's offering money to their state players. If BCCI is private organization, why are the state governments spending people's money as prize money for a individuals those work a private company, which is BCCI??

Exactly, why is tax payers money going to cricketer's pocket, they are already earning a fortune from BCCI and the endorsements.

Guys,

Expect 1st hand pictures of the victory parade as our Addy is on vigil at Prabhadevi. According to him - there are crazy scenes on the roads - jampacked with people screaming and dancing.

This time the prize money does seem excessive. Probably because BCCI wants to keep these players from defecting to ICL.

Phew! Just back from the celebrations. Old, young, blue collar, white collar, housewives - they were all there. Waving flags, chanting, singing and screaming with joy and braving the rains. Students, people from offices, car showrooms, country liquor bars... don't ask. The police had a tough time.
Had a tough time clicking pics with the wild crowd and pouring rain. Here are some of Team India.

Pictures of the crowd. Remember, this is Appasaheb Marathe Marg, a main road, generally bustling with vehicles.

Hope to see many such parades in the years to come.

Goofups....the news channels are at it again. Times Now were showing the teams parade in Bombay live, and there was this red open top San Storm in front of the parade. The reporter went on to say that this was the Porche meant for Yuvraj and that Yuvraj would be impatient to get behind the wheel of this car...LOL

There was a San Storm, a Red Bull Cart, a truck with a DJ and cheering girls and lots of Govt. cars. While they were waiting for the bus carrying the cricketers, people were cheering any vehicle that went by.... bikes, cars, jeeps, trucks, buses and even water tankers.

Once again our cricketers reach the demi-god status. Poor Sania's, Bhupati's, Karthikeyan's, Chandok's, Advani's will have to wait for another 10 years to get their share of fame. Its madness on the streets of Mumbai & at Wankhede stadium. Its like they won the real WC of cricket. Can't imagine what if they did indeed. I just hope Yuvi's 911 is presented to him at the ground in front of the public. Just make sure that all the players don't climb on the car and ruin it.

The whole thing sounds very disorganized.

This is what I've been thinking the moment news came, about various state govt offering money to respective state players. I dont pay taxes for the government to give them as prize money to already hugely overpaid, worthless individuals.
There are other important issues that government should take care off, BCCI is there for cricket.

Latest news is that fans and media are asking why Narendra Modi has not announced prizes for the Pathan brothers from the state Govt . Worst outcome is that we will see our beloved Men In Blue appearing in every advertisement from now on.
