Ya I know that. But I had redeemed all the points just few months back. So there is no question of lapse. Something looks fishy to me.

FYI- CC is HDFC Regalia. Snapshot of the Credit Card bill in the image beneath.

Is there a way where I can verify the calculation of such points?
Reward points for payments to wallets like paytm, freecharge are reversed.

Yes true .Even the Fuel payments are also adjusted. However i could not arrive at the exact number but I got it close.
I am suprised that payment to Payzapp (HDFC BANK wallet) is clubbed like any other wallet.

Regalia master card was turned down at Delhi T1 today at the Master card lounge!! She said it will work at T3. Axis priority debit visa was not permitted but same mastercard was allowed.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

Just had a query about Regalia points earned in wallets.
Do I earn points if I use it to load Paytm or MobiKwik?
Do I earn points if I pay for something using my credit card in MobiKwik or Paytm website (is not use the balance in the wallet, but the credit card and cvv option).

Even I was at the airport in the morning. At the lounge entry was informed that there is some issue with the machine hence they are only taking MasterCard. Plus was also informed that only ICICI bank Visa are being accepted on T1. The other Visa Cards are being accepted at T3.
Fortunately had the priority pass with me and that was being accepted there.

I had the priority pass too but she told me I will be charged, so I ditched it. I had my ICICI bank visa which she didnt accept.

Terminal 2, Mumbai Loyalty Lounge update (International Departure):
My HDFC Corporate Platinum Mastercard free visit was also declined. The lady at the front desk informed that I will be charged an atrocious INR 2XXX/- for the same . (Please note, the Corp Plat card is no slouch in Lounge Access, it introduced me to Lounges since 2013 and had unlimited access to almost all lounges, now they have revised the terms and allow only 8 visits per year)
I then handed out my Rupay Platinum debit and she informed that Rupay tie-up is not over.
ICICI Visa was accepted.
This has happened to me twice in the past month, so thinking that maybe Mastercard has rolled back their lounge associations.

Dont think so. My YES Master card allows access. Think its specific to HDFC.
In general MC has more lounges than VISA in India. One can check the lounge in MC and VISA websites.

Diners has more lounges in India than MC or VISA

Infact VISA has only 5 lounges listed in their India website

HDFC has been promoting their cards aggressively, both by mail and on the phone. So the offer may be genuine, but there are joining and annual fees involved, so check for them.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

I have SBI platinum credit card for the last two years. Good experience all this while. But since this is a basic card, not much facilities in terms of lounge access, movie tickets etc, please suggest me a suitable upgrade from my existing SBI card to something more substantial in terms of value added services offered.

I have been using SBI Elite Card for over 4 years now. If your credit card spends are near to 5L a year, go for this. It's got the following:
  • 2 Free Movie Tickets every month on Book My Show
  • Milestone Reward points at 3, 4 & 5L spends redeemable as Credit on your statement
  • Fuel Surcharge waiver on all Petrol Pumps
  • Priority Pass Membership for Lounge Access on International Airports
  • Lounge Access on Domestic Airports since its a Visa Signature

Annual Fees for the card are Rs. 5000 + GST. A little higher than most of the cards of the same level but the service is good. The Milestone rewards cover up for more than the annual fees & on top of that the 2 free movie tickets every month.

Re: The Credit Card Thread

I am facing a strange issue with my Standard Chartered Manhattan credit card where it is working for all online transactions but having issues with swipe or chip payment method at retail stores and petrol bunks. I have to use my HDFC credit card after multiple tries, it says card invalid sometimes. Is anyone else facing similar issue?
