Where is the MSM heading. Just for the info one more case of popular mag plagiarizing a blogger's article.

I really do not have any concrete updates as of now. I am following the correct procedure which needs to be followed, and promise, I will update this thread as soon as something concrete materializes.

I have a genuine doubt here. Can someone claim copyright on the basis of blogs on forum say for example, travelogue in TBhp? Anyone aware of the copyright laws on this matter?

@tsk: Do lets us know the procedure you followed for the benefit of all of us.

I have filed a case in the court against overdrive and Goodyear.
Lets see how this progresses

Good for you. Hopefully in future these "Auto Mags" will actually do some work instead of a Google search to get their content/material.

Hey Tanveer,

Apart from this I found Tata Safari FB page also use your Safari's image many time, do they ask from your permission?

I have tagged you sometime back on one of the photo.

Thanks,
Vishal

re: Overdrive Magazine plagiarizes my Travelogue (now resolved!)

The issue has been alive for over a year now. It is a sad commentary on the "processes" that make up any redressal system in our democratic setup.
All the best Tanveer! Let us know if we can do anything to help.

re: Overdrive Magazine plagiarizes my Travelogue (now resolved!)

The safari FB page now credits me whenever they share a photo on that page.

As for the case, next hearing is on 25th May.

any concrete updates will happen then only.

Thanks for the update; it’s quite shocking to read such plagiarism from Overdrive. I do read this magazine sometimes and always wondered how you contribute to that section sponsored by Goodyear, now I know

A noob question, how can you prove that the travelogue is written by you apart from the handle is there an offline doc that you maintain that can prove the date of the thread and doc creation? Just asking since the case is still going on.

Finally it is over
The dispute has been amicably resolved through mediation.

I know you and the other party signed on the dotted line for this to be over, but was the conclusion completely to your satisfaction or did you just get it over and done with? Were are you copyrights acknowledged without caveats/conditions?
