Where is this Preetam Dhaba on NH8?
Google Map shows Pritams Dhaba some where around Dahisar East. Can some bhpains confirm is this the venue if we go on NH8.

Pritam dhaba is just ahead of dahisar check naka enroute to NH8.

Pritam Dhaba : if you are coming from Mumbai, you need to cross the Mira Road junction, take the service lane. A kilometer ahead its on your left.

If you are coming from Ghodbunder, you need to take a left after Fountain Hotel and come upto the Mira Road junction, take a U-Turn and take the service lane.

This Mumbai meet has become a uttermost confusion now.

How? Is this just only a meet and no drive.

There are 2 scenarios now that NH8 is leading.
1. Will be going for a drive on NH8 read Silvasa and while returning back we be have lunch at Pritam's Dhaba

OR

2. We all just meet up at Pritam's Dhaba, have a lunch + chat and than tata bye bye.

I'm looking for a drive and some good lunch. If its the 1st scenario it would be great but if its the second one than its all just meet and no drive, boring.

Then this is within the city limits I guess. On any given Sunday the drive from Ghodbunder Road to Kashimira is horrific with many heavy vehicles getting stalled in the mini ghat section immediately after the Fountain Hotel. On three or more occassions I have experienced this.

As even I have mentioned before, even I am looking for atleast a short drive followed by lunch, maybe a photoshoot & back to pavilion.

The solution to this is simple actually.
IF ATALL you guys do come this way then you could drive with us upto a certain distance and then turn back from a point where everyone of you mutually agrees towards the dhaba for lunch.
That point onwards we will part as the Germans will move ahead towards charoti

Germans and Italians think alike.

Why not a drive till Charoti, it not really that long? Start up at around 9 am on 15 Jan. Meet up at a central point say Bandra.
All the bhpians from Mumbai than progress to Charoti. It just a 108 Km drive taking just 2 hrs max.

German Trio you all decide where to have a lunch and a nice photo shoot as you all were having a plan to Charoti since the beginning.

Start heading back from charoti at 2:30 pm and you all be back by 5 pm in Mumbai.

After all the long discussion we all have had in this thread we need have a meet with some long drive and good lunch included.

Guys we have had enough meets without drives, i think its high time we go out for a drive together which we did in the good old days.(apart from the weekly drive we all do in smaller groups)

At the same time it is understandable that there may be some members who want to chill on a Sunday morning and may not want to go far away from the city limits/outskirts but still meetup for lunch.

So as a solution that works for both sets of people i suggest that we go out for a drive earlier in the morning and then return back by say 12-1230 to meet up with the rest of the team on the outskirts either at Preetam Dhaba or at Oye Punjab as per the results of the poll and chill there till whenever whoever likes.

As far as the route/destination for the drive is concerned we could choose between NH8 or NH3 (leaving out Karnala for the moment since it is in the opposite direction as compared to NH 8 & 3)

Its not far by any means considering its just 82 kms from the dahisar toll naka (just checked). It will be done in no time at all.
I said we will proceed ahead since many members here want to spend more time over lunch than the drive itself.
We, on the contrary are driving 95% of the time on our meets. Lunch is just a quick halt. No unnecessary chit-chatting.
If you guys are coming along till charoti....great !
Bandra cant be a central meeting point since some members might come from suburbs beyond bandra while the rest from central/eastern Mumbai will come via Ghodbunder.
I guess Dahisar toll naka or the point where Ghodbunder meets NH 8 will have to be an ideal meeting point if at all.
