TIGER beer is no great shakes. In fact to me it tastes much like its a chhota/badaa bhai of KF or Royal Challenge. In the same class (read light) and almost similar taste as well. Only that it costs more than KF.

EDIT: Ok, after going through the whole thread I can now tell you guys at least one thing. Katriya De Royal is no pushover. This one is also a star rated one as far as I know. It was targetted at the tourists who land up at the airport. Also, the ambience looks superb from outside (I pass by it twice everyday) and there is abundant parking space as well. In fact the foyer type of place (or whatever you call it) is so huge that even the Aero Express buses (two of them) are parked inside side by side still leaving acres of space for so many other vehicles.

Deb, in the wine spots Tiger is available for 60 bucks. Taste is a matter of preference. Come to think of it, i hate RC and Sandpiper. In foreign beers, i lately started liking the Bud, and dont prefer Fosters either.

Its KF zindabaad all the way

Hi guys,
I visited (Fortune) Katriya Hotel late last night and met their GM Operaions, Mr Sanjeev Gulati (cell 98496 45505).
He said that KF/ RC Beer are served, one at a time to each customer, from 730 pm, and the last order is taken at 11 pm. They serve one sizzler per customer too. Snacks , etc are chargeable.
If one does not like beer, they can have other spirits too. If someone wants more details, I suggest you call him up.
The ambience in the restaurant (cLantro or eLantro) is nice, and here too there is a group playing light music like Ghazals. There is also a separate room which can seat 10.
Since I have also visited Katriya De Royal on Tuesday, comparatively, Fortune Katriya is several notches above De Royal, both in ambience and parking space.
That's it guys.
Oops, I forgot, the rate per head works out to Rs 455 or so, including taxes.

So its only 1 Sizzler + Unlimited Drinks in this deal? That sucks!

Guys IMO KDR is better VFM with Unlimited Snacks + Beer + Biryani!

Venu, thanks for the update.

I am voting out for Fortune Katriya, it does not seem to be a great deal with only one snack. I am sure you all agree with me

Now we need to decide between :

TANDOOR

or

KATRIYA DE ROYAL

youknow what....forget all these venues.....lets just land up at the CM's house , wot say

jokes aside, I have a sugesstion. Lets all meet up by 715 at one designated spot, take a call and head to the chosen location. Avi, Raj.....where should we meet up?

EDIT: Avi....KdR seems to be a good bet.....plus the added attraction of ample parking.

Guys, should we freeze KdR?

here is a linky:Katriya Hotels

Just FYI - The deal starts @ 1930 so i guess we will have to make ourselves comfortable in the meantime (Find parking for car and parking for behinds etc).

wow!!!

Just looking at the pace at which this thread is growing, i think every new thread(I start) for the hyderabad meet is bound to cross 100 posts. This one has already crossed 100 (i think it will cross 200 way before the actual meet in August).
Zappo are you keeping an eye on this aspect also???

raj.

I know. I deliberately said 15 minutes before so we can settle down and spearhead our attack on alcohol at sharp 7:30pm

@Raj, too bad, your gobbling up all the credit. Actually, full credit goes to folks who are posting their comments on this thread. Good going Hyderabad !!!

Are you absolutely sure about this ? When i enquired they said 2 veg and 2 non veg snacks unlimited.

Will call again today and confirm.

@himanshu Also i wanted to make sure that you would be going back the same way.

Any other member can offer me a ride from the ibp petrol bunk on sri nagar colony road would make it extremely convenient as i would have to walk from there to the main road otherwise. If not possible no issues i will either walk or take a rick to the main road.

I like the way you say "attack on alcohol"

I'm assuming you're meaning "Leave no survivors!" and "Take no Prisoners!" cheers:
