A few updates:

Breakfast will be served.Its confirmed.Its assured that it would be palatable and pretty decent.This is done to make members attend the picnic early rather than start trickling in from 11am!

There will be food warmers and wine glasses for all kinds of spirits!

Refreshments along with drinks would be served by caterers and one special item is Cocktail Fry!

Final pricing would be disclosed by saturday!

I 'might' just be able to bump in. Some official delays and my perseverance to attend the meet are keeping my hopes alive. Anyway, will finalize on 15th, the official 'no looking back' day.

Yes, I'll have to leave for Raipur on 21st. This is one meet I was really looking forward too and I tried really hard to delay the trip as much as possible. In the end, there were just too many things going off track because of the delay... I really had no idea that shifting from one place to another is such a humongous task.

Hope you guys have a great time. Pls. take lots of pics and videos.

And hope we'll have another one soon

The truth is a little twisted. Agreed I couldnt login to the site due to work pressure so he came today to my workstation to threaten me whether I was coming or not. I had no option than to oblige .

A few points to ponder before the baganbari meet :-

There will be additional four persons apart from us.These are the care-taker,the mali (gardener) and two attendants.They stay and work there,so their food cost has to be borne by us.They would be there to clean up the mess we make,after we leave.The cost of food and bakshish for them won't be much and we can jolly well share that between 25-30 of us,IMO.That is a courtesy we must show as the entire baganbari and works is given free to us.Rs 400 for 4 persons divided by 35 won't be much.

I have spent the last two nights there and am back a short while ago.The place is as great as ever and the lush greenery,the endless butterflies roaming about,the serene water of the pond,its really really nice feeling to spend a day or two there! Nobody should damage anything there,as I do not own the place and if something is damaged,it would be a real shame.

Although the place has all the necessary items stocked (it won't be possible to take the furnitures out in the lawn!),so I took the liberty in arranging the following for our own good:

40 plastic chairs @ Rs5/ each = Rs 200/
5 dining tables @ Rs25/ each = Rs 125/
5 white table cloths @ Rs25/ = Rs 125/
and etc.

These cost has to be shared equally amongst all the attendees,and am sure it won't be more than Rs 20-30 at the most per head.

Decent and clean drinking water is available there freely,but if there is a consensus,then bottled mineral water can be arranged as well.I am letting everyone know this,as mineral water would obviously be available at a price.

I have taken pictures of the Main Gate of the Baganbari which I shall post in a day or two,so that none of the members miss it and drive along.

I am working on a Map thingy,and if completed in time,I will try to upload it here as a picture for everybody's benefit.

This isn't like any other 'meet-at-this-restaurant' meet,so this needed proper planning and execution.
Am putting in sincere effort to really make this a Grand Meet,hope I get full support and co-operation from each one of you.Thanks.

PS: Am meeting the caterer today evening and finalizing the buffet. Breakfast and lunch it will be,so please turn up in empty tummy and with loads of enthusiasm.Will let you know the details.But I guess,the Menu would be a surprise.

Kudos to you for taking care of the arrangements so meticulously.

Just one question. I hope there is ample parking space there.
