This is exactly what I wanted to say. It is a picnic and not an invitation for lunch. So,guys please be at the venue by 9.30am as told by shuvc.The time for breakfast is between 9am and 10am. After that,it would be nicer if we hit the bottles and other refreshments,that would be spread out (both veg and non-veg)

By the way,as I had mentioned earlier in this thread,there is ample car parking for more than 50 cars,within the baganbari itself !

Few updates once again :

Arrangement has been made for ice boxes,so supply of ice for the daru-lovers should not be a headache!

It would be a buffet. Though provisions for chairs has been made.

Food has been finalized and ordered already.
Breakfast would be a simple affair. Refreshments would be miscellaneous and plenty (both veg and non-veg). Lunch would be sumptuous and quite lavish, IMO (again both veg and non-veg).
Cold drinks,fruit juice,soda,etc is not being arranged,because it will vary due to personal taste.Every member is free to bring along their own fancy.

Tentative contribution amount inclusive of everything would be Rs 400 per head.
Hope that wouldn't be too much considering everything.Detailed break-up of the cost involved will be available once calculations are over.

PS: By tomorrow I will know the exact cost involved per head and it will be around the figure I have quoted above.I will also give here the account number and the bank code,so that contributions can pour in.I have promised the caterer an advance on wednesday morning.So I would need the amount by tuesday,i.e. 18th November.

i donot have this online money transfer thingy. we (rocker & toiingg) will pay either shuvd/shuvc and tranfer the money to daktar babu.

@shuvc: The name tag idea is nice. Would suggest peel off label stickers instead of safety pins & paper. People can pick up a sticker when they come in, write their respective names and stick it on. So someone just needs to carry some labels and a marker.

That's a bit too much to the east actually for people like us living in Behala, Tollygunge etc and will mean a lot of extra travel. Why don't we meet on the other side of the river, like near the Metro Cash & Carry site?

Some, like shuvc would probably be taking Belghoria expressway instead of Kona. Would suggest the following - the people taking Kona could meet just after the Vidyasagar Setu toll booth, say around 8:45. Leave that spot around 9:15 for Dhulagorh. Those who don't make it there by that time can go directly to the Baganbari. It's not that long a drive really.
The ones taking Belghoria could meet before/after the New Bali bridge - similar timings and stipulations.
