It sure is a sure way of burning calories .....
1/3rd seems to be a bit excessive. My tin typically lasts for 5-6 waxes, but then the Linea is a bigger car than the Swift. These marks that you speak of are caused by hard water. I wouldn't worry about them. Should disappear in a few more washes.
As you say, this is indeed a good way to burn off extra calories. I have a lot of those and after many failed attempts to get rid of them have decided to wax my car more regularly. Maybe that will work.

Guys - I've a Euro Gold Bottle Car Sprayer & Shiner. Used it in my earlier car Ford Ikon. Once sprayed, the excess deposits are to be aiped off with cloth. It gives a good shine but also the surface looks a bit oily. However, the surface becomes very very smooth & feels slippery when touched.

Is this good to use regularly (may be every week)? what does it do? kind of polish or a wax?

Re: quantity of wax, the one thing to remember is that all the applied material is wiped off except for an ultra thin layer of wax in contact with the paint surface. Therefore, a thin even coat is the best way to go about it.

A second coat might be beneficial in some cases.

Your spray based material might be a quick detailer. If it is such a thing, use it every week or so over your wax coat. You'll keep the glossy, slippery surface for a longer period of time.

I don't remember. I bought is 5.5 years back when I bought Ford Ikon. Used only once since then. I guess it was around rs. 175/- then, though not sure.
But it seems to be original & not fake. Those trees behind Carnauba Wax letters are not there (usually there in a fake)

Any ideas which tyre shiner works better? Brand names and cost would be nice. I have an option to get the accessories ( wax, shampoo and tyre shiners, perfumes) from US. Makes sense to buy there or from here?

Hi All, Have been reading the thread and must say some mighty interesting suggestions, however I need help on something I believe may not have been covered (I hope I did not miss any posts).

Im in Mumbai and hunting for a car care service for external polishing, waxing, removing the scratches off etc., - google helped me get Car Polishing in Mumbai, Car Polishing in India, Carpet Shampooing for Cars in India, Fleet Detailing in Mumbai, Car Seat Cleaning in India, Car Washing for Fleet of Cars, Continuous Round the clock Car Cleaning Services, Carpet Cleaning for Cars in - this, was wondering if anyone heard of them or suggest something reliable?

Im really not into do it yourself (DIY) - lazy and spoilt i guess, so any help/suggestions will be most appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

I think it's readily available in legally imported form here in Bangalore. IIRC, it's around Rs. 150 for the smaller bottle and Rs. 350 for the large one.

^^^I bought a bottle of Armour All Polish and Wax. Its a liquid in a bottle for Rs. 400. It is a legal import. It shines ok ...but it makes scraches stand out even more!! Waste of Rs. 400. Something like Formula 1 does a much better job and is cheaper.

Well, that's what i meant. Formula 1 for waxing needs and Armour all for Tyre shining needs. Not going to club these two options

^^^Well, am so pissed with the polish that I don't think I'd like to risk trying another of their products which anyway seem more expensive. Thats just my take... since you have tried the tyre thingy, I'm sure it must be good.
