Re: Maruti Genuine Parts (MGP) Catalog: Post your queries here (model list on Pg 1)

I drive a 2020 Swift VXi and am considering getting an arm rest installed between the front seats. I checked the Maruti accessories online catalogue but couldn't find a driver's arm rest for the Swift (I think it is offered for the Baleno only).

Can anyone suggest a reliable aftermarket brand that I should consider? Boodmo also doesn't have a driver's arm rest for the Swift.

Thanks!

Quoting myself here. I received the parts catalogue from boodmo exactly after a month. ie on October 4th. Now the search continues for the service manual for my Ignis.

When I turn the ignition off and lock my car, the light on the IRVM stays on. I tried a bunch of different modes with the cabin light and here's what I found when the engine was running:

When the cabin light is in 'Off' mode, the auto-dimming IRVM is off.
When the cabin light is in 'Auto' mode, the auto-dimming IRVM is on. It stays on even after the ignition is off and the car is locked.
When the cabin light is in 'On' mode, the auto-dimming IRVM is off.

I received the connecting coupler-to-coupler wire in the Celerio auto-dimming IRVM package, and this is a weird issue I've stumbled upon. I don't want my battery to die on me in the middle of nowhere if I forget to switch the cabin light from 'Auto' to 'Off' every time I leave the car.

Any idea how I can fix this?

This is exactly why I didn't use any supplied wiring harness. I made my own custom harness which had coupler connection to mirror while the power was drawn from fuse tap. With Ignition off, the power to mirror is off.

Shashi

PS: You may use roof lining clips in place of those screws which looks ugly.

Hi shashi, while checking the parts catelogue of Ignis I found two part numbers for the clockspring assembly. I am planning to install steering mounted controls on my sigma ignis. Part number 37480M68P20 is listed in boodmo for Rs.1313. While the other part number 37410M68P20 is listed significantly higher at Rs.3790. Its descriptions in parts catelogue are "Cable assy, contact coil" for the former and "Set, contact coil & SAS" for the latter one. Please help me choose the right one. Thank you very much.

Is it possible to get a new carburettor for 97' Maruti 800, type one at present times? If yes, then pls tell me the part number. It's without ac. I have seen a couple of options on boodmo but not sure which one is suitable for mine. Also parts biggboss have a pacco made carburettor, is this a good option?

Hello LeoShashi!

I am currently trying to revive my 1995 carb Esteem and need to order a new fuel tank for it. However, boodmo shows two part numbers corresponding to the fuel tank assembly. Could you please guide me as to which of these is the correct part number for my car?

Asking for a friend,

Shashi, can you please share part number for the new Vitara Brezza's service manual and parts catalogue?

Dealers in Delhi-NCR are not very forthcoming.

Thanks,

Yes there isn't any option from Maruti yet for Swift. There was one for old 2nd Gen Swift, you may try exploring that option.

Unfortunately the motor isn't available separately. You'll have to buy the entire mirror assembly or hunt for motor in aftermarket/scrapyard.

The cheaper one is of Pre Facelift Ignis while the more expensive one is from facelifted Ignis.

Pacco isn't the best option. See if you can source a Ucal Mikuni in Aftermarket.

You need to order 89091M60B00. Both belong to same family, but 89101M60B00 is discontinued. Production of 89091M60B00 has been stopped too but Maruti has some left over stocks of the same which you will get.

No issue in functionality. The replaced part is from the M800. The click sound and flash rate is a bit fast in M800 one, if you have noticed that.

Shashi

I did notice that. The different part number and this variation prompted me to bounce off the query to you.

Thanks for the reassurance.

That said, I am in awe of your knowledge, even in matters as minute as this. My respects!

Off topic:

Here are some pictures of the internals of the relay that was replaced.

The spring has come off its joint at the point marked in red. That could be the reason for the relay's failure.
