IMO the Swift/Dzire doesn't have any such points.

All the ball joints are sealed types and if there is any torn boot, all you have to do is replace them. If there is any creaking noise then it has to be bushings which either need replacement or can be fixed temporarily by using silicone spray.

Thanks Anurag, here is the reason why I asked this.

My shocks are hard as rock and my car has not celebrated its 3rd birthday yet.

Every bump, pothole, imperfection on road get directly into the cabin and we rattle like dolls in a tin box.

I told this to my SA and he said it might be because of joints not being properly lubricated while coming off factory line.

But here is my other question. If I lubricate or soften the joints, then will it cause my underbody to scrap the infamous speedbreakers ? I'm little worried, cause the locality where I live has huge potholes and strange road formations.

That's surprising actually for the SA to ask you to get the car for lubrication. Can't really understand what he'll lubricate. Is he thinking the Dzire is an SUV or what?!

If the shocks are hard and not doing its job, you'll have to change them. I don't think changing the bushes would do any good.

Should cost 5,000 (each side) for pre-assembled strut set. rear ones are individual parts and can be changed as on need.

This is the part number(red part).
Price: Rs. 190
Thanks Leoshashi for the help, I was able to order the air-filter for my A-Star.
Yet to find the 'volume control switch for stereo' at any accessory shop even. MASS is advising me to buy the whole stereo instead.

I'd recommend you to checkout the scrap dealers/HU repairing shops. You'll get it for cheap. Or, visit the Nippon service centre of your city.

Getting it from MGP is impossible as HU doesn't get any child parts. You need to purchase the whole HU which IMO isn't justified.

I am not sure about the parts which they lubricate, but recently I drove a friend's A-Star which was standing unused for a year, and I suspected the shocks to be bad. During the service, I asked my SA to change the struts if needed.

We were billed for "Strut Greasing, Lathe", I don't know what all they did, but they took both struts, got this greasing done at lathe, and reinstalled it back with new strut mount bushes and the ride became surprisingly plush, specially when compared to the jarring ride it had earlier. The labor for this greasing was Rs. 650 IIRC.

May be this is what your SA meant.

Shashi

I am completely clueless here, will need more details.

Regarding plunger, what is that?? I searched plunger and only two results showed up: 1. Some component in Zen/Esteem Diesel's Fuel Pump. 2. Some component in Carburettor and 3. Inside steering unit of cars.

Request you to be more specific here because I am completely noob when it comes to these CNG/LPG cars.

Dear Shashi
Thanks for the mail. Valve is the inlet point in which the nozzle for factory fitted CNG cars are connected.
The issue in my car is that the CNG inflow into the car is a lot slower than other cars in the line. I have just changed my CNG filter but the issue persisted. Thought that the valve could be a possible culprit.
Plunger is a sensor that detects which fuel mode the car is in. Since factory fitted MSIL cars are intelligent system, it lets the car achieve a certain temperature before shifting to the alternative fuel(in this case CNG).

Sir I'll come back to you with the details ASAP. Actually I am completely noob when it comes to CNG cars and its mechanism. Secondly, the parts catalogue is very badly organised for CNG cars. Tomorrow being a sunday, will look into it leisurely and get the part numbers.

Body mouldings are black, and need to be painted later on as per your choice.
