Stock clutch for OHC is from EXCEDY.
It should cost you around 4- 4.5K when I last checked in JC Road BLR.
But don't know the price for Pressure plates.

Last year, i picked a new excedy clutch and pressure plate from JC road for 3.7K (including taxes).

So 4.5K might have the pressure plate included. Check again....

Shan2nu,
The prices of OHC spares have been hiked up steeply very recently.
By the way from which shop in JC Road do you purchase spares for ur OHC ?

dear OHC owners.

IS there anyway we can build an 'oem parts list' for the ohc

Like recently we had the O2 sensor part number and its source posted here.
a few posts ago, clutch oem and price was posted..

like wise how can I get a hold of suspension and steering parts and its availability and ofcourse expected price.

like tie rods, track rods, steering arm, lower arms, shocks, struts...

In my case i cant rely on the HASS they have nothing except the specialized tools if any..

This kinda info will go a long way in the maintenance of this Old Horse Carriage

I'm aware that KSM posted the whole shocks replacement.
is there anyway we can list them out??

Old veterans who've sold their OHC's but still have a soft corner, can help us with info that you know.

Thanks

joe

All are Original parts, all Price are of Bangalore. Some prices I have mentioned in my previous posts.
Brake Pads - OEM - Nissin - 1.7K Rs
Shocks/Struts - OEM - Showa Munjal - ~2.5K Each(depends on front/rear)
All suspension bushes - Vtech - Around 1K +1K for Front n rear.
Drive shaft - I don't remember the Manufacturer Name . Price ~4K +
All these parts were available off the shelf.

@sushrutha - these prices dont seem to be dealer prices, the Pune dealer quoted around 5K i think for each front shock - it will be great if you have part numbers for the front shocks , i can then go look in Pune where to source it from and have it fixed by the dealer. A Bangalore store or contact will do fine as well, i am going to be there , will buy there..

Precisely why we must help each other source the right parts for this great car! the youngest OHC is 8yrs old (2003 being when the NHC came out)

sushrutha - you mentioned the Suspension Bushes? did you change them while you did the shocks? coz the guys here said that the bushes cant be changed alone, its comes along with the whole assembly.. I didn't quite follow that..
Pls comment on this. I need to isolate my problem to find if i need full suspension replacement.
but what all need to be changed for suspension issues!

Nopes, You can change the Suspension bushes seperately.
I changed my suspension bushes last week, and struts almost a month back.
AFAIK - front bushes kit comes with 16 bushes. + 2 Link rod bushes
Rear - almost 12 bushes.
While changin the STRUTS, make sure you change the Front & Rear Strut kits too(rubber boots for the struts), they cost around 600 - 700Rs/kit

All the OEM prices I have quoted in my previous posts are not Of Honda Showroom/service, it's from the JC Road shops(Bangalore) who do sell OEM Honda parts.

.
you mean I could get the above for about 12-13K + labour right? ie.. 2.5 x 4 for the struts and 2+ for the bushes.
I'll PM you for the JC road shop and details. in the mean time let me find a local spare shop that might order them for me!
the name mentioned above is the Brand for the bushes right?
thanks

What is it about V Tech engines that sets it apart from other engines?

My Aug 10 ANHC figs as follows

1. Max speed I have done > 170
2. FE HW/City > 16.8, 12.3

Please don't share valuable information via PM. Instead, post it here on the public forum so that several other members & guests can benefit. After all, information sharing is the core purpose of this forum.

Every brand now has their own version of Vtec. However, Honda engines are typically the most revv happy. Forget the ANHC, high-revv an OHC Vtec to know just how beautiful these small 4 cylinder petrols can be. The ANHC's engine isn't a patch on the OHCs.

You are right GTO, my bad!
my actually intention with the PM was to find stores that had the said products and put the refined info later on the forum, instead of this thread going into "stores that stock for OHC"
but i guess the discussion on the store is worth it too.
will do all the talking here!
thanks

Its not about just the top speed, its about how you get there.
The rev happy nature of OHC is sheer joy. Even now, when i get a chance (which is once in a very blue moon) to see the rpm needle hit the redline, it brings a smile to my face. And thats from a 10+ year old car with 1.25 lakh kms on the odo. And mine isnt even a vtec!!
Yes the FE i get is not something to boast about, but that is a compromise i am willing to make just for that smile

i drove a friends ANHC IVtec today, had 500 kms on the odo, very smooth and all that - the impression i came away with is, the young hooligan has now become a smooth grown up man, all very cultured but in the process it has lost its soul , 10 mins after that i drove my old VTEC and ended up with a grin the size of umm.. the new citys front grill
