Get a can of WD40. Put the nozzle in it and spray the stuff into the keyhole (you can easily press the flap out of the way). 95%+ chance it will work.

If it is so, then why did not do the same all these 15 months. I am really surprised.
In my 2007 Civic at least one bar is always lit.

Same here. The bar is always at level one when the car is cold. Never ever seen the bar not present.

Had the same issue couple of times.
First time the CD had popped out after a couple of tries of ejecting it.

Second time I had to repair the CD changer carousel.

@dot; Now I can see why Honda are keen to get rid of the CD players. I donot think I have put in a CD into my Santro for the past 2-3 years.

I use the USB and do not ever remember putting a CD into my Civic.

I too have learnt my lessons, Prof. Henceforth no CDs for me.

The simplest thing I can think of is to keep FM on. If you dont want to hear the FM chatter, keep it at volume 1.

Sorry, it might sound cheesy, but it should work.

I agree. But it depends on personal taste too. I purchase CD albums every once in a while and like to listen to compilations on the move.

So do I. What I do is the rip the music onto the Pen Drive in MP3 at the highest quality. Possibly it may be illegal, but then I do own the original CD.

But unfortunately people like us who own the 2007 or older Civics dont have the Aux or the USB port. So we have no other choice.

I think, not using the changer for a long time could creates this issue. So just fix it and keep using(changer) it.

Although OT, but in the context.

Its not illegal, you as the owner of Audio CD are allowed to convert it to any format whatsoever you desire and listen on any media device you so desire. It only becomes illegal when you decide to distribute such music over internet to a much wider audience.

Putting music in pen drives and phones work best for me in my Civic and Baleno.
