My observations after using 2 cans of OWS 360 with 15 litres of petrol. I tried it during a long drive covering 1300 kms.

The engine revs better and there is a very slight increase in power and refinement.

My car has run only 20000 kms and I have been using flush and cleaning injectors regularly as part of regular service since the vehicle crossed 10000 kms. I think the difference would be more pronounced on a high mileage car.

It will last till the OWS is in the tank, and soon will fade out. Farhaan also mentioned this to me.

But yes apart from the peppy rev's i found slight improvement in the FE and overall refinement after i ran out of OWS.

Next logical step is to try out engine oil additive, which should work for a longer period.

My understanding is ows360 is not fuel additive. It is fuel system cleaner.
Naturally, effect will be long till new garbage clog the fuel system.[ correct me if i am wrong].

I am waiting for reply from Farhaan and eager to use this ows360 in my alto.

Guys,

I have been using Castrol Edge Sports synthetic on my Getz for the last one year and it is about time for the oil change/service and am planning to switch to OWS. Anyone has used castrol edge before and switched to OWS. Was there any pronounced difference?.

Also do I have to use flush the current engine oil again using OWS engine flush and drain the current oil and fill it with OWS synthetic or will draining the current oil and refill with OWS be sufficient enough?.

Please let me know. Thank you.

I got a quote for 3200 for a 4 L can of shell ultra helix, and 4k for 4 L of Mobil one, is the price correct.

If i am not wrong Lancer(p) takes about 3L and 300 ML, and i have also seen in some post certain users have been asked to put 3L of oil and 300ml of some protective stuff(Bad memory ). Please clarify.

I picked up Mobil1 for Rs 3200 for a 4l can from Speed-a-way 2 weeks back. If you know somebody in Blr who may be traveling to your place, perhaps you could ask them to pick it up for you.
I am the one who asked all those dumb questions about 3.3l + 300ml! The consensus was, Oil + protector should equal the crankcase capacity. In your case, if the normal oil change is 3.3l, it would be 3l of oil + 300 ml of protector. I gave up on the idea of putting in protector because it seemed to be overkill with fully synthetic.
However, I am unable to source the OWS 230 gearbox additive. I would have like to use it as I filled regular mineral oil in the gearbox.

I ordered my set of 1 OWS 220 and 1 OWS 360.

The oil change in my 14K ODO Indigo LS was due..I poured in 220 with Petronas Urania. After driving for 25 kms or so I realized that the engine revvs up better, is quite smoother and quieter than before.

Will try out 360 in next 2 days and post a view.

I would definitely recommend these products and speedworks (for their excellent customer service ).

IMO, 15k is a little early for a new car. I think you should wait for 20k at least.

Edit: Farhan, have sent you my email ID. Please mail me the details.
