| ![]() My Amaze diesel's clutch plate reportedly needs to be replaced, after doing just 6700 km in 8 months. Any one faced similar experience? Capital Honda says it will take 8 days to order and get it. @Moderator: Not sure if this is the right place to post; may be it requires a new thread. |

Clutch plate change in just 6700 kms?? Must be a case of defective part as IMO 6700 kms is way too less for clutch related wear & tear. A clutch in a properly driven car can last for as long as 1, 00, 000 kms |

Put your foot down and ask for a warranty replacement. Shoot a mail to Honda with the details. Please make sure you either check with another Honda team on this and also take the pics of the worn out clutch plate. Make sure the part is replaced under your supervision at any cost. Do NOT leave your car and let them do the replacement without you seeing the part. Last edited by swiftnfurious : 6th January 2014 at 13:59.

Have you used any car before? If so what? And what was the life of the clutch pad on it. Life of a clutch pad can vary from <10000 kms to around 1.5 lakh kms depending on the driving style. The lowest I've seen is at around 8000 on a friend's santro. But, in that case, it was a driving style issue. |

| ![]() As asked by Service centre to bring vehicle to set right the rattling sound in cabin, I went there on Saturday. Though they identified in TD some point on driver's side door and did something, I still experience sounds. Have to live with it I guess. Meanwhile discussed installing Autocop with Service Advisor - he did not show much interest. From accessories price list I had found it to cost 5K. But was shocked when he said it is Rs 8500. I think he exaggerated to put me off. What is the exact price? |

I'll say go all out & fight for your right. Clutch life does depend on usage but a mere 8 month & 6700 km life cannot be accepted. Shoot mails to the customer care, tell the dealer this aint normal & continue to pursue this on priority

My relative is dealing with Blaunpunkt. Had to pay 23k including 4 Blaupunkt speakers , blaupunkt Los Angeles HU, Rear camera, plus Fitting. Otherwise the amount for an outside guy is 33k plus he said :O Since Honda has strictly cut short provisions for a bigger rear speakers, the maximum possible size was 4 inch 140 watt But whatever you do on speakers or head unit, ultimately your music volume goes out of your car.Sound proofing is pathetic when compared to cars in same segment like fiesta classic :( ![]()

| ![]() time and again, amazed by the fuel efficiency that the MID reports. how consistent is the MID reading with respect to actual numbers? I drive sedate, but 27 kmph is astounding. I don't usually fill diesel (it is not my car) so not able to check tankful method. |

Mail them and also write on their facebook wall. If you are sure that the clutch wasnt ridden while driving ( remember , a few kms of riding the clutch when driving is enough to kill it ) , this definitely is a defective part . BTW , how was this determined ? Poor pickup , juddering when releasing the clutch , poor FE , poor pick up ,...?
