Also the fact that it has the 2L engine doesn't mean it is the same car it just has the same headlamp and tail lamps to differentiate it from the Civic sold in the same market.
Na na, It's the same car, everything is same except the engine, that is what I am surprised about.
My friend just came back from Canada and gave me this information. He was using a Acura there and he is well familiar with my car...

All companies give discounts, including honda.
There is nothing new in this...!

check out the Stanley leather before going in for the honda leather. i am not an expert here, but i felt the stanley better than the honda in terms of "softness".

some of the genuine accessories are amazingly costly. eg., the amber lights and the side-step garnish. but i was happy with the cheaper wheel lock nuts (i park on the road) and the boot-mat. when i enquired the prices of the mats, they too seemed cheaper at around 500 rs or so, so i didnt bother to spoil the looks of my interiors with rubber mats.

discounts apart, why arent there any TV ads by honda ? i simply love the civic UK ad. and who wouldnt admire the older accord ad.

How much did you get, if you don't mind?

For me, they gave 25,000 on my NHC because they have corporate offer for my company. However, for those customers not working with any such corporates, there was no discount (as per what Deccan Honda bluffed to me). And in my case also, they said 25000 only if car is registered in the name of the company. I wanted individual registration, and went on into a prolonged battle with them (involving a letter from my company) to get that 25000...

I didn't even ask for any, as I booked my car 2 months before the launch date, that time they were not even sure if they can take the booking!!!

But before that we had bought an NHC on discount. Discounts are there on NHC and accord for years now.
Discount on Civic was also expected after the initial price hike . 10-15k discounts can be negotiated on Civic these days.

It;s part of the product life cycle. The older the model is the higher the discount you get.

As Amjat said, it was a dakakakakaaakdak sound and I felt like someone
was below the base and hitting with a rod :-) Thank fully I had read about that from a ST766 post, else I would thought it as a fault with the car :-)

CSenthil: I was rushing for an emergency and there was absoutely no traffic on that day, so no stops and I reached in 5 Hrs. Started at 5:30AM

alanakar: My dad says I am hopeless in driving, maybe I keep the Rev's low most times and thatz why this mileage. Also maybe because of the fact that my daily commute is on the Outer Ring Road and I goto the City only once a week.

Hi ST,

I didn't catch this. I was in US for a week (last week) and I saw the same
Civic which we have here and branded as Honda Civic itself?? Worst, it costs only $16,000 :-(

Also, I got a chance to see the last 2 generations of Civic (hopeless, I should say :-) IMHO )

I second that.
Isn't the previous version of US Civic similar to our OHC in shape?
