Here in Chennai,No cars are available.
called dealer and seems,Consignment is not started from Pune factory.
I was promised earlier to get delivered the car by 16 Feb 2008.
But it won't happen.i don't know whether dealer is fooling me or the FIAT.
I got the Loan Approval and got my cheque too.
But due to the availability problem,i am not handed it over to the dealer.
I asked him to confirm the delivery date and collect the cheque from me.
He doesn't have answer for the date of delivery.
It's weird.it's almost 4 weeks gone(Booked on 22 Jan 2009).still no idea about delivery date.
I still love the car.that's why the dilemma.
Whether i can wait for linea or looking for some other car ?
The dealers stockyard that I went to take out the TD car had half a dozen of Linea MJD and few petrols. Why are they doing this, are they trying to deliberatly keep the waiting period up?

Or is that all this talk about thousands of booking is just "flying kites" by fiat. Gee I don't get this! No offence meant please. I am scared in this forum after having bullied and thrashed by people for just staright talking I need to watch my mouth

Hey
Here also they have all variants(some 22 cars) except Emotion Pack
Emotion Pack is in huge demand.
Sales guy told,Fiat is now converting some % of Emotion cars to Emotion Pack cars.
I don't know,how worthy his words are .

You mean the dealer can't fix his TD car? If the demo piece is itself broken & doesn't work, then how does he expect people to buy his wares?

@Diabloo,

Apparently a customer who was on TD, hit it hard enough it broke. And it happened a couple of hours earlier the same day I took the TD. Its really not surprising the kind of folks who go for a TD. A couple of months when I went for a TD of SX4, the ORVM joystick control was broken.

I am sure the dealers fix it at their convinience.

Regarding whether to go for dark or light color in a car, the simple question is "Do you wash/clean your car yourself OR have someone do it for you on a regular basis - say once in 2 days or so?" If its the former, it is better to go for a low-maintenance light color. But if you have someone cleaning your car on regular basis, go ahead with a dark color.
+1

@Ajit - Try the black..looks very good on SX4. Silver is infact the blandest looking colour on th sx4

An expereince at a Maruti dealer:

I had gone to Ratan Motor's Chembur for a TD of the SX4. Their demo car had gotten into a major accident with airbags inflating and all. The car was in really bad shape. It was rattling all over and the car needed a alignment job asap.

Ajitsank, you sure have a heavy bias against Linea. Every body on this forum is entitled to his or her independent point of view. I liked the way people are accomodating on Team-bhp. Also recently how we handled the NHC vs. Linea conflict in a such matured manner.

One can definitely compare Linea with SX4, but something like this, again and again. Unbelievable!! I am sorry for the rage. Couldnot take it the second time. I smell a rat.

You may be clever with words. But guys reading your comments are not as stupid. One can clearly see where you are coming from. Maruti ??

In that case, well done. You have earned it.
