Congrats on your car. Why have you not put number plates. BTW the stereo looks cool. Do play Micheal Jackson's "Beat It" when showing off your car.

Very refreshing colour indeed. How do the dials feel to look at and feel, as they are seperate I guess from the dash

Congrats for the new car!! The color looks great and better than the usual red Beat that I see on the roads in Bangalore.

Enjoy and Drive safely in your new toy.

Many Thanks for your comments. In fact I just got my number plate installed yesterday will post pictures soon. Regarding the stereo, its sufficient only for the occupants to hear, but if you are the type of person who like to show off your song to the neighbourhood, then a speaker upgrade and amp+sub installation is a must!

Thanks thedreamcatcher, the dials and digital display are indeed a fresh look in this car and one gets a soothing feeling when the interiors get 'all blue' at night, trust me you will never feel bored inside this car. I can spend my whole life inside it

Thanks buddy! Indeed I went for this colour since I knew the Reds and Blues would be the common colours. Would post more pictures in the coming days.

Hi guys, just as mentioned earlier, here are the pics of the number plates I got installed yesterday.

Both plates are aluminium embossed with reflective stickering and they cost 1000 bucks.

Yeah, looks cool! The rear one goes so well with the shape of the sides.

Is this aftermarket or from your GM dealer? Aftermarket right?

This is aftermarket. Got it done with a reputed signboard and number plates specialist here in Mangalore. Their service and products are of high standard. In fact I requested them to shape the rear plates to match with the sides and they did a fine job at that

Not exactly, alstonlobo.I like the car design wise .In fact Iam in love!! ( with the car's design)
However what is holding me back from buying it are three reasons:
1) The uncomfortable and low set seats (Iam 5.6") and I feel that an aftermarket padding job would ruin the seat's ergonomics , esp, the lumbar support.
2) Lack of certain goddies like MID,Bluetooth car stereo, Driver's seat height adjustment. I feel these three are absolutely necessary.(I have a bluetooth device even for my M800)
3)The pathetic pick up in the 2nd gear.
Iam waiting for GM to launch the car with all these goodies and sort out the pick up issues, and Iam sure such a variant would be launched. If not, I will have to think about some other option.
Btw nice number plates, alstonlobo. They gell well with the car,and follow the car's design flow.

1. Padding is the best solution to encounter this, yes the lack of seat height adjustment is a bad thing for shorter drivers, I'm 5'11" and have no problem regarding the seating posture.

2. IMO if you managed to hook up a bluetooth setup for your M800, you can also get it done for this car. There are plenty of aftermarket options bro.

3. Pickup is something that you will get used to and also have to keep in mind that the car is tuned for optimum fuel efficiency. I am waiting for the engine to run in and maybe will have a better pickup.

Thanks for your comments on the plates, have a nice day

Thanks, alstonlobo for your suggesstions.I would definately like to own the BEAT .However since Iam not in a hurry I would prefer to wait and watch.Another thing, are you using the stock tyres? How is the handling and the ride comfort?

When I read about the tyres and even saw it in 'flesh' I had quite low expectations from them, but when I actually ride the vehicle, they do a fine job in terms of handling and ride comfort. Had the car with 5 people on board and even been on humos and bumps, no problem at all. The car does not bounce on bumpy roads but a drumming sound from the rear shocks enters the cabin when taken on harsh potholes. This is a common thing with the Beat but I am used to it, overall. Just TD other cars and compare them with the Beat and judge for yourself

Love the color. I'm a big fan of this car and if not for strong opposition , unfortunately from family here in Chennai, would have gladly given up our Estilo for the BEAT. Enjoy your car!.
