So now I am a little confused. Is the tyre noise really that high or is it that the car is super quiet and the only sound you hear are the tyres? How can one determine this?
Even i am not sure what is tyre noise? I went to a outstation trip in the i-10 over the past 2 days, did not hear the noise of the road a lot, and with mild music playing was fine. Not sure but with my verna on stock tyres, the noise was equal and the i-10 has MRF! I think for people who run high speeds often, road noise maybe an issue.

Yeh Jayanth,

I got set of 4 Alloys (stock for V) for 20k odd from the dealer itself.

Acutal MRP for 5 Spoke one when I got was 5.4k/wheel.

MKH, what do you mean got it from outside? you are getting the same wheels from after market?

Cheers
Raghu

Thanks for getting that confirmed from Magnum Jayanth. It's 100 more than the quote I received when I changed my wheels.

This may not include VAT, fitting charges etc. That will add up to about 3-4K
The 7-spoke really look nice, but much higher priced. Dealers make a big margin on accessories i think, i got mine done today.

Unused wheels will hardly get anything in the market, not sure though.

How was the condition of the wheels when you got them ? Btw, does the 20 K include the wheel balancing & fitting charges too ?

No, they won't charge anything extra, it wasn't in my case.

You already got them fixed?

Yes it would be 5.5k. They won't take the spare wheel. You need to keep it with you as what you get anyways is peanuts (I was offered 1.5k for all 5 stock wheels by an after market shop)

Thanks, did not take the car so far, will go in the evening. Do you suspect old alloys being passed off? How can i ensure that is not done. Well, since got a deal through my personal relations, exact deal is not to be posted.
