Surprising because I got a far better offer from Vinayak than at TAFE! I took delivery last Friday and have been extremely satisfied with my experience. I guess it's different strokes for different folks! Which variant did you buy? I picked an Elegance 4x4. Cheers! Shankar.
Hi - I bought a silver ambiente 4x4. Maybe Vinayak had more "elegance" models in stock and hence could offer more discount..

Demonhead, congrats on getting the Ambiente. It sure is a great car. Could you please elaborate on the final On road price and how much discount you got?
Thank you.

Hi
Thats nice. I bought Silver too!
They actually ordered my vehicle from Aurangabad - it arrived in about one week's time. I saw his email with the order.
Yes they did at that time have 3 in stock - one in White, one in Mato Brown and one more in that light bluish shade.
cheers and Happy times ahead with the LittleBigFoot!

You can enable it with the ABS controller long coding and then look for TPMS ON/OFF by default it will be off, you can enable it by making it ON, once you do that you should see the symbol in the dashboard once you turn on the ignition, if this is not there on the dashboard then you have to enable that in the instrument cluster, I have not seen the instrument cluster code of Laura, I enabled that by changing the last bit, the new VCDS now has that coding defined so you would be able to enable that in the Instrument cluster long coding, let me know if you able to get this done.

Hi,

Approx "Bangalore" OTR cost: I got the ambiente for approx 14lakhs ex showroom + i think arnd 2.75 Karnataka's ridiculous registration cost and about 70k for insurance, zero dep and extended warranty. So in total for around 17.45 lakhs OTR. So i think this is around 2 lakhs off the sticker price. I dont know if others have got a better deal here however my ideal price goal for the ambiente version as well as my budget was 16.5 lakhs OTR which is where i started with negotiation. However after a long drawn out process and on-road drives i let the heart take over and pushed myself to shell out an extra lakh.. I have already clocked 600 kms over the weekend and i am absolutely in love with it.. I have discovered extraordinary will power too in doing a proper run in for the first 1500 kms and keeping my right foot in check with such agonising pain!

Man, Bangalore is seriously very pricey! The on-road price, here in Mumbai comes down to 18.07.
Subtracting discounts of Rs. 2Lacs approx, the price comes down to just a mere 16 odd.

Skoda Yeti@ India (An ownership review) EDIT: Now sold!-20111217_002.jpg

I was busy taking care for the right side it was very close to wall, while the left hit the pillar which I missed to take a note of, all this in just in a flash with a boom sound. It gonna take 3-4 days to get this in shape, service center is overloaded as of now and have requested to drop the vehicle on Tuesday and possibly they would get it done by Thursday/Friday!

Re: Dents..

Ouch! That hurts!
I hope it doesnt set you back by squillions to get it fixed. Looks like the rear flange and the door are affected. Hope those chappies at Skoda are able to look after it at a reasonable rate. All the best!

re: Skoda Yeti@ India (An ownership review) EDIT: Now sold!

In all likelihood they would replace the rear door with a new one and paint it. Does the door open and shut easily?

That's really unfortunate Pramod. Hope you get your car back in shape soon.
Do keep us updated about the pricing and the whole procedure.

Everything is working the door open and close nothing wrong with operation, it just the dent on the door and it got scraped, the door is not required to be changed but to maintain the bodyline it need to heated and properly adjusted, after doing this they have to repaint the door which will require a complete repaint of door, this is main worry, the color need to match else everything is a normal denting job. Hoping they will match the color code.

re: Skoda Yeti@ India (An ownership review) EDIT: Now sold!

Have given the vehicle for repair, hoping it comes out as new, the dent are not big but the crease line need to be recreated and that's the major work, the door need to be repainted after the denting. I will get the vehicle back most probably on Thursday/Friday.
