Higher the difference in circumference, greater will be the deviation in the speedo values. If you choose the correct upsize then this difference will be very less. You can check the difference easily here :

So for Swift ZXi, if you upgrade from 185/70-R14 to 195/60-R15 the difference is 1.26mm or 0.07%. So when your speedo reads 70mph, you're actually travelling at 70.05mph.

With my new tires, the speedometer will show 6.38 % less than actual reading.
Am wondering if the sensors can be adjusted for the new tires.

I am in love with the tread patern of the S-Drives.

Hi guys,
After many posts of mine and many suggestions by the experts, i have finally changed my good 'ol 195/60/R15 Goodyear Eagle F1s to the 205/55/R15 Yokohama S-Drives!! The Goodyears had done 28000 kms and were still had the grip in them but since the rains are approaching and the tires were due for a change, i decided to change them to the Yokohamas.
There is a huge difference in the ride comfort as ofcourse the F1s had done their due and were sending alot of bumps, vibrations and noise inside the car. The tire change has eliminated all that and the grip is absolutely brilliant as of now. Awaiting the rains so that i can put the S-Drives to the test in wet conditions.
Will keep you guys updated on the same.

So I got my alloys installed and surprisingly the ride is very bouncy with 34/32. I'm gonna give 33/31 a shot
Which size are you running Zahir? rim size as well as side profile please.
Another thing you need to check is where you get it filled, here in BLR i have found that the difference in reading between the digital gauges installed in petrol pumps can be as much as 5 psi!
i think he using 185/70/14 pirelli tire, try 30 psi will make the ride more stable, if not then try 28 psi going below this will cause FE drop so will not recommend.
Pirellei's are known to be on stiff side, try 32/30. See there is not set figure for PSI for a car or tire size, its a range which one will have to fine tune based on his taste and more importantly tire wear.

Really? Are you sure you didn't fill air while it was hot. As a practice, I always fill air at night and within a couple of minutes of driving. I'm running 14" alloys

Yeah I'm trying my luck with 33F/31R. Liking it so far. I don't want to dip -30.

Yeah thats what I'm planning, for a week I'll go the 33/31 route, if not happy, then 32/30.... will up it to 34/32 when I hit the highways...

I use 32(front) and 30(rear) it was recommended by Jaggu for better FE :), though I have 195/60/R15.. you sure you have 195/

hey folks ! Picked up an Ldi last week and got the tyres upgraded & alloys fitted immediately on delivery
Alloys : Chrome Elements 15" 7J width
Tyres : Yoko S Drives
Was driving a Wagon-R with stock wheels/tyres for about a month before picking up the Swift and found the ride quite stiff. Was expecting the Swift to be worse with 205/55/15's but was pleasantly surprised with the ride. I personally find it very comfortable and would definetely recommend these to those looking at an upgrade.
Nice choice of alloys and rubber, i love white color alloys on white car, it rocks. what about the price of the alloys ?

I am about to change the tyres for swift(Vdi), Till now it's running(33k) on stock tyres.
I would like to upgrade the profile of tyres(Not happy with braking and performance in rain).Is 205/55/15 right up size?Is there any effects on car performance or economy(fuel) with this upsize?
I'll be sticking to rims,plz suggest set of rims too!
Got my self Michelin Energy XM 1+ 185/70/14 and believe me guys the ride is very comfy, just went to sangli and back, the car was very stable and you get a certain kind of confidence to corner at high speeds in all very good tyres and im happy with them, upgraded from 165/80/14 JK which were stock.
Was thinking of getting 195/60/14, i wonder how would they be? Any comments guys?
