You will have to decrease the tyre pressure a bit otherwise you will have a very stiff ride. For instance I am running 32(front) and 30 (rear), this was recommended to me by Jaggu for beter FE.
Ishaan had however recommended 28 all around.

I feel the XM1's are on the higher side. Any comments folks?
An observation: the circumfrential grooves in the last 3 are very wide while in the XM1's they are quite narrow thus leaving more rubber in contact with the road. Better performance?

I found 205/55/15, to be the right fit. Was on 225/55/15 earlier, Had great difficulties on the cornering. Tyres the best option is Yoko s drive. Will be chamging over soon. At present i run on Nankang. It is a comfortable drive with excellent road grip. Was recommended by a tyre dealer on J.c Road. No regrets.:)

you are right! i have been running 205/55/15 yokohamas s.drive on my swift. it had dine 12000km no issues so far.The handling and high speed cornering are great, you will be having more confidence while throwing the car around the corners.But there exist tyre noise,which is not a big problem as far as the performance is good.
ADVAN NEOVAS 205/55/R15. Rs.7.3k per tyre.
Second set was S Drives which lasted for 37+k kms.

Hey Nikki, look cool mate, would need some feeds on the Advan drive on swift. I was planning S Drive. What is the key difference between the two?
Wanted tyre upgrade for my VDI. The quote for XM1+ was 3550/tyre.
Turanza ER-60 was 3050/tyre in the size 185/70R14.

What about 205/65R14 on swift VDI? Any problems having that size?

Why sticking on 14"??
Upsize to 15" and u get many choices in size. Mine is 15"-ers from last 37k+ kms and have tried Yokohama S-Drives of 205/55/R15 and now changed to Neovas of same size. Wanna try my car??? If yes, PM me!

ha! skipped your post earlier. Well.. S-Drives in 205/55/R15 is an apt size/no-nonsense size for swift. Ride becomes a bit stiff and the performace is stupendous. Most suited tyre for indian roads.
Neovas are extremely sport models - made for track performances...
Am yet to put it on test. Will update in few days... Stay tuned...;)

Guys, my swift's stock tyres are now 30K+ old now. So was just thinking of changing them. I went to Bridgestone shop on the ORR near Marathalli. That guy told me 3.5K/tyre for Bridgestone Potenza G3 (185-70-R14) and Yoko S-Drive (195-?-R14). Seems expenseive, what say?

The Yoko S drives are not available for Swift in 14". The dealer may have told u about the A drives.
GIIIs ain't good anymore. Michelin XM1 / Yoko A drives and Bridgestone Turanza ER60 are the best options available in 185/70-14.

Hi Mickey - Please go through the below link and know more about tyres. You can't fit 185/65/R15 on to a 14" stock steel wheel because the tyre is a 15" tyre.
