Do you get lenso's always in sets of 5 ?

What if you wanted just one lenso - eg to replace a damaged alloy - would you get one or would you have to buy 5 ?

No u can buy 4 also , it is per piece basis

Problems is - in case of any damage to one alloy getting the same model on time would be a pain , punctures or something when u go out the 5th one comes handy , just my thinking ,.

But most of them i have seen buy 4 alloys

Allright, but then if you buy 4 tyres+alloys in the 195/60/15 size then you got the spare tyre with a different size on the OE stock rims.

Can the spare then be used in case of a puncture ?

That should be only for the temporary arrangement , until u get it repaired, If used for some long time - definetly would hurt on the balancing and alignment i beleive .

Praveen. it looks hot. I am a big fan of 5 Spokes and I made the decision. This is the thing going on my swift.

I am just coming back from 1200 km drive on my Ritz with rain, forest and in highways. These Yoko A-drives (195/60/R15) are excellent. I had excellent grip in rain and the bumpy single lane roads in the forest region was not painful. I was constantly doing > 120 in highways and no issue there too. I don't know about other tyres, but I am happy with my A-drives.

BTW, i don't agree that the tyres don't scrape. It happened to me couple of times in my 1200 km drive. It happened when I was turning on a steep slope (slope from left to right or vice versa and not stright slope) with most of the weight on left/right side of the vehicle. I got down and saw that. It doesn't seem to be alarming.

You never mentioned you had a white swift. Thats a no brainer. Go for the red rimmed white alloys ASAP. Lower the profile the better they will look.

Guys. Got the Lenso today.
Now need to decide on rubbers. i know nikhil and other members had suggested me A drive. but i am more inclined to ES100 pattern. ES100-195/60/15
Price difference is also nominal between A drive and S Drive.
btw Lenso Box says After 50 Kms. nuts should be re tightened. Is it really necessary ?

ES100 is also decent. No issues with that. They will give you better grip than the A drives. But expect a shorter life and more noise.

So finally mounted it on my swift.
Road noise is nominal compare to stock. Loves the grip. I feel Car is now properly planted.
felt the steering same as before.

My Swift VXi (Silky Silver) has completed about 30k and I am considering a mid-life refresh for my hatch. Once of the items on the list is to get a new set of wheels. I have been using the stock (steel rims and 165/70/R14 JK Tornado). Have gone through almost everything on wheels (pretty informative I must say), and here is what I have shortlisted:

1. 185/70 R14 XM1+ or S drive or A drive with OEM alloys of a ZXI/ZDI, looked at a few classifieds and loks like I may be able to get it @ TBHP itself :).
2. 195/60 R15 XM1+ or S drive or A drive with new set alloys though will have to start saving money for that

My Requirements: Optimum Balance between Ride Quality/Handling/FE

Gagan 195/60 -R15 is the deent set up on swift - all your requirements would be met. You are looking for a decent make up for ur swift - my suggestion is go for some good alloys -15" with the tyre size mentioned above .

Btw which colour car ?

Looking at the thread patterns on Yoko A drive, i am curious to know how it handles corners and slippery roads. How has your experience been with these tires?

If budget permits, in my opinion you can go for 195/60/15. Since you'll have to go for new set of alloys and tires, it will be expensive.

Otherwise, going for XM1+ with stock wheels is also a better option. One of my friend has these. The ride quality is much better than what we get in stock tires, and also the handling is good.

FE will not decrease either ways.
