Hi All,
I have booked a Swift azure grey yesterday. I am planning to put Plati alloy wheel with 185/70 R14 tires and the dealer told me that not to change the type and let it have 165/80 R14 tires as 185/70 might drop mileage between 1.5 to 2 Kmpl. I am just wondering if 165/80 looks good on Plati alloys.

Do any one have picture of their 165/80 alloys please send it across to me. please:

Also if any one have a Plati Catalog please share the same.

i have 20K kms run Yoko AVS ES100 which i changed from stock in my Swift VXi. and mine is also a odd size 205/60/R15.

I am suffering from excessive road noise, even at speeds of 40 kmph and also bumpy ride.

i want to know
1. how much should i expect for the Yokos
2. I am planning for Michelin XM+ or Primacy LC (195/60/R15)
3. Expected prices for XM+ or Primacy LC
4. Suggested stores in Bangalore

1). Almost nothing. A few hundred bucks at the most.

2). It's better if you go for the Primacy LC or the Conti CPC2. XM1+ is not available in that size.

3). Primacy LC is around 4.9k and CPC2 is around 4.5k.

a) No mileage will not drop so much, max half a km for the additional width, if you see its an OE size that comes with zxi and i dont think people are getting low mileage with the wider tire and heavier zxi model

b) It will look odd, alloys irrespective of brands looks good with wider tires, thin rubber gives it a very odd look.

So unless you are on a tight budget for the time being, go ahead and shift to 185/70/14 for your new buy.

I am looking at downsizing from my 205/55/R15 PP2s. Primary reason being, that my dad will be using the car henceforth. So performance/grip etc are not really important.

@Nikhilb2008 What sort of exchange price can I expect for my Nov 2008, JK Vectras 185/70/R14 done 8000K in New Bombay. These were OE on my swift zxi.

Further are Brdgestone RE66 'made in Japan' tires available in the market for size 195/60/R15 or 205/60/R15 ?

OK another one for you. I am getting a new Cedia which comes with 195/60/R15 Potenza RE88s. I wanted to change that to either Primacy LC 195/60/R15 or the PP2 215/60/R15. Though the Michelin website recommends the 205/55/R15.

I favour the 215 width as the section width with the 205/55 is less than that of 195/60.

Questions are
1. Will the 215/60 foul up on full turns.
2. Will the 205/55 make the ride harsher due to reduced section width.
3. What price should I expect for the stock RE88s 195/60/R15
4. Are the Primacy 195/60 any better than the RE88s in terms of road noise.

215/60 R15 is useless.... Get 205/60 R15 in PP2s if available. But PP2s are out of production.

My suggestion is 205/60 R15 Conti CPC2. Good compromise between comfort and performance. The Primacy LC is oriented towards outright comfort.
