Any recommendations for tyre shopping in Mumbai? I'm looking to buy a set of Conti CPC2s or Michelin Primacy LCs. Knowledgeable junta, please do let me know of a reliable, decently priced shop.

hey guys, most likely picking up a punto emotion pack. so the stock size is 195/60 r15. i dont wanna upsize but i do intend on changing the tires to better ones. what are the stock tires that come with the car and what are the upsize options? want it to be silent and grippy, and good ride quality. thanks.

Stock tyres are MRF. I am not too sure though.

Stock size is perfect, no need to upgrade.

Best bet would be Michelin Primacy LC.
I went for Conti CPC2. I found them very much VFM. Much better than Yoko A-Drives and as good as Primacy LC.

Michelins do hold edge when it comes to road noise.

You cant go wrong with either of them.

Preferences one - Michelin XM1

Otherwise - YOKOHAMA C drive .. Excellent VFM product

The stock tires on the emotion pack are good year. While the base comes with JKs.

Go for Michelins if you are looking for more comfort than performance (decent, better than stock). And if it is performance (handling), you have Conti CPC2 which are good handlers on dry but awesome on wet tarmac and loose gravel (I have them on my Punto) and you have in Yoko, ES100 and something else also I believe. I would say pick Michelin or Conti according to your preference in the stock size.

so i found out that the stock are goodyear gt3. no way im keeping goodyear. sticking to yokohama since i find that is the most VFM product compared to michelin and i already have yoko c-drives on my innova and advan sports on my accord. so for this car i will most probably get v550, the price is around 4400 i think and for the goodyears ill get around 2700 back.

Folks,
Just wanted to post ... that the 98 pcd alloy is literally hard to come buy for my car.
The Only brand which comes close is NEO's Venom in 14 & 15 incher's

Spoken to a tyre dealer in mumbai who is also a dealer for NEO & 69
(taiwanese product) and he is recommending BF Goodrich in 15 '' tyres.
Are they better than Michellins ? or Yokohama 's ?

Can anyone have better idea somewhere in mumbai where i could find
some extensive range of 98 pcd alloys to look at ?

BF Goodrich comes under Michelin only AFAIK. Even during my upgrade i inquired about it and was told its on par with yokohama and michelins if not better so I think it'll boil down to your personal choice as to which one do u prefer

whats your opinion about conversion from 100 to 98 PCD. there are only a very few options in 98PCD

. Will conversion affect the stability of the car??

I was speaking with Rajendran and Kishore Asrani (fortune)and also was following up with Mr.Jaideep who is with SSW alloys (mumbai)who are asking for more patience as the 98 pcd's are not in stock.

I think i was following the chart which Sandeep posted for his RED PUNTO
Looks neat design , will inquire with them ...Lets see what best i can get from them for my BLUE MACHINE

Hello Soccerfan ,

Welcome to the forum
If you have a 100 pcd setup which is common for most cars except for fewer makes like FIAT's which includes the PUNTO as the standard fitments is in dimension of a 98 pcd for alloys

Its been also recommended to stick to Stock which is 98 pcd , if you have opted for alloys & or upsized, its advisable to get to 98 pcd to avoid
wobbly ride on higher speed mark and be safe
(please be advised that dimensions of Wheels, wheel bolts and hubs are never adjustable)
