Does look restorable. Only the owner should be traced, and the documents present. 'hope it finds a good home.

Maybe because its a Hindusthan, it was wrongly assumed to be an Ambassador. I've known of similar mistakes being made with Standards (where a Standard 10 was registered as Standard 20 in the RTO records and so on!) and Fiats (1100s) being registered as Premier Padminis etc.

I must admit that I don't know about any of these vehicles. The white one is a bigger one, the Yak Unimog is smaller, possibly even older. I generally don't visit the 4X4 section.
Air India Unimogs must have been scrapped long ago, they have not been spotted anywhere. The only one whose pictures I have seen, and that too on this forum and seems to still exist belongs to the 4X4 guy Uday. But that Unimog needs work.
This one needs to be saved, it is probably a project vehicle now with some Govt. Institute or organisation.

Cheers harit

@ajay99 Where exactly is this located? Is it for sale? I have been looking for a 61 Chevy for a very long time.

amitV8 - This seems to be some trash custom job on the Jawa. I'm sure the factory never made something so hideous!
