The car is indeed being restored, I was shown photos of it being transported. No idea who owns it though. I hope he is reading this.

A rotting Standard 20 spotted in Kolkata - the body has just collapsed,telescopically, but note the seats that are in place, indicating that the platform/ chassis are crooning "all is well" .

Tyres still seem to hold air, possible that the collapse is a result of some dump truck dumping the debris that can be seen under the steering, besides and in front of the van.

This appears to be the later version called the 'Micro'. The bodyshells on this model always seemed cheap and flimsy to me, and were apparently prone to the tinworm!
Yet there used to be many of these around in Hyd. when I was growing up, and of course Madras. None to be seen even there now.

'happened to find these cars sitting at a local dealership/workshop-a 60s Austin A40 Farina, '56 Plymouth and 2 other cars beside it not visible clearly (a pre-war Vauxhall and what looks like a '50s Fiat 1100)
No idea about the story behind them. Hopefully they are WIP!
