Just one request. Is it possible to get individual car's photos?
I doubt it as this group of cars is actually cordoned off the rest of the property. 'will see when I'm there next.

BTW the car with the open door and no paint would actually be the Vauxhall!
Next to it with rusty white paint is the fiat.

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

I spotted this rusting and neglected mercedes in one of the bylanes of Vile Parle, Mumbai while we were visiting some relatives. This was some 6 months ago and I forgot about it as we were in quite a rush at the time.

the mercedes 'ponton' ! one of the irresistible cars that i constantly hope to spot , while on the move all year round in maharashtra and goa and karnataka ! i hope she is not junking on the road / or for scrapping. honestly, i am willing to buy the car in any condition , if so, at a reasonable price. i have a nice covered parking space back home . please let me know at 09845194814 . i also hope the new import permission is implemented soon , so that many more pontons reach India . and i finally have one of my own.

All I can tell is where I saw this car ~6 months ago, other than that I don't have any information. I don't remember the exact address of the place where we saw the car, I'll dig out my relatives address an send it across via PM, this car was just outside their colony.

I wanted to ask around at the time, but we were in a rush and way behind schedule in delivering wedding cards, so could not stop and enquire any further.

For any other info you'll probably have to dig it out yourself. As far I could see, this car was probably on the roadside for a few months, as there was a lot of dust n grime on it - but not year's worth of it either. Nobody seemed particularly interested when I was looking around it and took this pic.

Found this in an album on a facebook group. Presumably in Goa. Car might be restorable.

that Black dukkar Fiat wont last long there at the scrap yard, these guys clean such vintage cars quickly so that they can sell the expensive parts. If someone's intersted, make sure you go there soon.

Haritji, I believe there are many postings of Standard 20's in the V & C section, threads.

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

From the looks of it, the yezdi appears to have "cemented" its place outside that gate. I doubt it can be saved, except for it being dismantled "in situ".

Re: Rust In Pieces... Pics of Disintegrating Classic & Vintage Cars

It looks like the load of sand dumped near the bike which has covered the rear end, it doesn't look like cement, I guess the bike can be taken out easily and what a complete bike rotting for waste, l guess this must be a running bike before parked her to die.
