Sorry Ram, while the car was offered with that style of grille, the unit on the car in question is indeed a cut and paste job. A smart way of giving the original look to the car. See this picture I had taken some time back.

You are right Karl. Interesting !
While your older pic does show two juxtaposed meshes, Cyrus's pic seems to show some changed /repaired part. And the upper moustache has gone all rusty.

Back then he wanted 60K. Then at one time he wanted 40K yet again on an occasion not very far off he wanted 35K. Each time its non nego and the car has deteriorated further. This car is parked at the same place for a long time and even has a non original steering wheel and what looks like, newer meters too among other things. God knows how much he wants now.
Ram, looks like he changed his part and parcel grille to another one which may be original and much to rusty.
Here are a few pics I took of the car earlier.

Some nice stuff here , really dont like old cars , at all , would SELL it straight up.
My uncle bought one of his old rolls in the late 80's for 50,000 rs , it had a TREE growing out of its front side !
Anyways alot of time and $$$ later plus alot of his own sweat and blood and the car is still used very occasionally as a daily driver - office and back .
Looking for the before and after pics.

Saw this Pontiac rusting away in Goa. Looks like it has been discarded recently.

Not blanking out number plates since the car is lying in scrapyard.

Wow, this car looks a-original!!

Man, what a SHAME! 'wonder why on earth they dumped it in the first place!

It definitely seems worth saving. Geography can be so cruel indeed!

That pontiac really is restorable. From the photograph it does not look comletely rotten. But, I am sure once the restoration job is done it can be a complete stunner. How can we get spares for these cars, I mean how can we get them imported??

it has certainly been dumped recently cause i know that place very well

what you can see behind is the police station that comes on the way to porvorim/alto betim immediately after you cross the bridge

sai service( SUZUKI) unloads its suzuki cars from the trucks on this ground, you can see them at the back too, i hope somebody picks it up!!!

This is how the doors came. I suppose you meant that it should have suicide doors.

for those interested in picking the pontiac up, there was a phone number written on a paper stuck on the steering titled "for Sale". I did not take down the number. You might want to check out if this number can lead you to the owner.
