I don't know what a Junga is. But the car in the picture appears to be a 1955 Chrysler 300 or 300B.

this is an ex nabha car, owned in the 1980s by a Brig. Gill in Chandigarh, he had bought it directly from a PEPSU auction in the early 60s.
then it was black with blazercloth upholstery, papers and tools were complete it was and possibly still is missing the spare wheels, and didnt have a bumper originally.
he wanted 4 lakhs for it in 1987, which i didnt have (a brand new Mercedes 190 cost about 8 lakhs with duty in those days). now i believe its with a collector in chandigarh. it has a Thrupp and Maberly body and is not a Wraith, its a 25/30.

Whats your take on the price ? do you think the collector has put it up for sale, or it could be some one posing as the owner, since it is not properly described.

you can now legally import a similar car in better condition for about 60 landed at your home. (i know people who have)
and that would be a fairish price for this too because you will have to work on it. just the correct headlamp lenses will cost you about 25k

Its no where close to original. Diesel engine, right hand drive, 2WD, spare tyre location, front seat arrangement, meter console. Only thing which may be original is body.

I dont know anything about Rolls Royce's or its valuations,but saying from purely the monetary valuation.Rs.4lakhs in 1987 should be approximately equivalent of 120 lakhs today considering inflation,bank FD rates and Rupee value

it doesnt work like that. value of things dont go like that, besides 4 was being asked for, there were rolls royce silver wraiths availible those days for just over a lakh, and jaguars in the range of 50000. in 1994 i paid 150000 for a restored running 1931 chrysler tourer.
