That yellow colour was a popular one for the W123 series. Used to see a lot of them. The beige colour also was common. I think the official name was 'Colorado beige'.

I used to see a lot of these W123s' with out of state number plates in Chennai in the 70s, 80s. Interestingly, a large number of the 'CA' series plates like CAT, CAU etc were those of left hand drive cars compared to other state cars.!

This particular car I have seen in person in Aurangabad. I can vouch that cosmetically lot of things are there and in good condition. Owner was open to negotiation upto a certain point. Handsome car to get a collection started.

Purely out of curiosity. How much would a VW Microbus cost in a decent condition. Will it be more cost efficient to restore it with newer alternatives (different engine / seats / electricals. etc.) or restore it with originals?

That should be GHO43 Thrupp & Maberly which we have often incorrectly referred to as a Wraith.

This a Ford (Europe) + 4 Door per the description. That is as "real" as Mustangs get!

Oh, by the way, it was also sold at Barrett Jackson in 2013 for $ 115,500.

Murthy's garage (United Motors) had an immaculate metallic blue Mustang 20 years ago. He said it was a Karnataka State Government vehicle, sold in auction to him around 1990. wonder where she is now.

Rarely see any of these. would love to know more about Mustangs. my son has some cute scale models though.
