You can find plenty of Hanseats(they are called Bhatsuars ) around M.P,specially in Bhopal,Indore and jabalpur .Sadly most of them are ill maintained and are run on kerosene(illegally),are one of the major polluters....

The Hanseats sounded cute in the 1970s when they used to have a two stroke air-cooled petrol engine that also did duty on the petrol Matador. They lost their charm with the introduction of the noisy single cylinder diesel engine.

Hanseats used to be quite popular in the Rohtak-Sonipat region of Haryana.

These were a common site some days ago in Mumbai really love their engine sound, the Mumbai Fire Brigades had same engined Fire Engines, the 10 wheel ones until recently but now they also seem to have disappeared. But you sure do find such now a days too at some remote highway locations.

Spotted this Nissan one tonner(?) here in coimby. Its in daily use as a recovery vehicle. I can see the 4wd hub in it. Could it be still running the original engine??

No idea where that one was built but i am sure it wont have the orignal engine as far as i know orignal engine was a Petrol one and now most of them, in Mumbai at least, wherever they are still there used as tow trucks, they are mostly having Tata 1210-1612 engines, not much of a concern as these are registered under private section, white background black letters, so owners are easily able to grab Tata 1210 or 1612 series engins from the trucks which are getting scrapped after completing 8 years.
