This Austin was owned by my grandmother's uncle in Chennai. My grandmother grew up in this car. Eventually, this car was sold when they shifted to Hyderabad in 1957.

If I am correct then the white building still stands as it is and the area is called Esplanade.
Most such colonial buildings stand in pretty dilapidated and neglected condition, but still being used.
