I Completely agree with you. The flying stork/cormorant mascot is a give away that it indeed is an Alvis in the first 2 photos. The third car could possibly be an Alvis too.

Also the Bentley is certainly not a 1952 model more so mid to late thirties are you sure it was a Bentley as it too looks like an Alvis.

I remember seeing the silver car in their display window whenever I visited Bangalore but cant recollect what make it was. That bar connecting the headlamps is an Alvis touch

Could be an Alvis. I never knew that they owned a Alvis too, though they having the Bentley is known to all.

This was the narration given for this car

My grandmother Gwen Webb with 1952 Bentley, which we still have.

I think that's the Pontiac cabrio, the State car. Harit had shared a picture earlier

In Harit's picture, the badging on the trunk / boot seems to indicate a 1951 model, but the chrome spears on the lower door and fenders indicate a 1952.

Maybe there was something unique that was series specific; or for export cars (though this seems to be LHD).

It is quite possible that these were locally bodied into woodies back in the day. General Motors India was a large operation I believe. We have seen GMI bodies on 50s light trucks.

There is one on display at the Heritage Transport Museum in Gurgaon. Another one recently attended an event in Hyderabad.

I agree with Mr Tranancore. The side chrome is that of a 1952. The 51 side chrome was a single spear point with stars embedded in it. The 52 split the spear pont into a short upper and long lower portion.

My best guess is that it is an "Adams" based on the Gothic arch shaped radiator.
