Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS spied with ABS

The Bajaj Pulsar 200 SS has been spotted once again. This time, the images of the bike, believed to be export spec, reveal that it could have an ABS unit. The presence of an ABS tone ring suggests that Bajaj could indeed equip the bike with the safety feature. Whether the company provides ABS on only export spec bikes or even on those for the Indian market remains to be seen.

The Pulsar 200 SS is a fully faired bike and shares its platform with the Pulsar 200 NS. It has features such as twin projector headlamps with LED daytime running lights, LED tail lamps and an underbelly exhaust.

The 200 SS is likely to be powered by the same engine as the 200 NS - 199.5 cc, 4-stroke, liquid-cooled, single cylinder that puts out 23.52 PS @ 9500 rpm and 18.3 Nm of torque @ 8000 rpm and is mated to a 6-speed gearbox. However, for the SS, Bajaj Auto could replace the carburettor with a fuel injection system. Suspension will be a telescopic fork at the front and monoshock at the rear.

If Bajaj does give the India spec Pulsar 200 SS ABS, it could be the cheapest bike in the market with the feature.
