If you do a proper wiring, warranty will not be void.

Does the headlamp need to be switched on to turn on the projector high beam?

So, combinations are:

Headlight off + Fog lamp low beam
Headlight off + Fog lamp high beam -?
Headlight low beam + Fog lamp low beam
Headlight high beam + Fog lamp high beam
Fog lamp off + Headlight low beam
Fog lamp off + Headlight high beam
I've shared the wiring details used by me as well as others. In my car, the parking lamps have to be switched on to use Micro-fogs, low and high beam both. It has no link to headlights. So I can independently use either the Micro-fogs or the headlights or both. Just see the link to my thread. You can even control the Micro-fogs directly by a switch independent of any other connection and direct via battery. Choice would be yours.

re: XP Micro: Bi-Xenon Projector Foglamps. EDIT: Terrible experiences

Finally after long wait, got my XPs installed from EVO on Saturday.

Here are the few snaps during the installation;

The final output, with only XPs ON. Cut off on the right side seems to be not so perfect.

The near field visibility has increased drastically, crisp and clear now. I can even drive just with XPs on city roads.

I was charged Rs.2750 for installation, earlier it was 2000. IMO pretty steep for this work.

Big thanks to Dr,Naren, for helping me out regarding my queries, and introducing us to XPs.

Haha Finally!! I know you had waited for long time. Actually I had driven to Bangalore last week and had plans to reinstall my XP Micro. But I couldn't get it done as the main installer at EVO was not available.

Could you post few more wall shots?? The cut off of right side XP Micro is not aligned properly or is it bowing down to the ground?

Agreed!! It's a straight forward job and doesn't require the skills of retrofit ( say opening headlights and all)

Would it qualify for a DIY project?

DIY is very much possible. Bone collector has done DIY on his Brezza. Even Anurag is doing on his own for Swift

re: XP Micro: Bi-Xenon Projector Foglamps. EDIT: Terrible experiences

Update : XP Micro 3.0 inch installed!!

I got the new 3 inch XP Micro installed today. Installation was done at EVO, Bangalore. It took almost 3 hours and I am happy with the outcome.

Why 3 inch?

1. Flush fit in S-Cross ( no gap around the projector like 2.5 inch)

2. More brighter

3. Little more width

I also got the new premium H11 hid bulbs from Xenon Planet (5000K). 4300K would have been more practical, but I opted for 5000k as it matches with stock Bixenon Projectors.

re: XP Micro: Bi-Xenon Projector Foglamps. EDIT: Terrible experiences

I got to test my new XP Micro 3 inch with 5000k H11 bulb under rain. I am very happy with the output. Even 5000k does the job. I was using 4300k before. The output looks more natural in 4300k while its little more white and looks cool with 5000k
