With permission, I will try and replicate the triple mattress sleeping arrangement in my Gyspy since I will be using it mainly for touring. Will keep you posted.
Bed arrangement will be very comfortable in gypsy, try it and you will love it. Bed setup will give you the freedom from the hassle of pitching a tent and packing it when camping, 2 adults can sleep with comfort and security if gypsy has a soft top. With AC on it becomes a motor home.

Have you used plywood as the base of the cushion? What thickness have you used?

Thank you. I plan to stick to the stock tyres even though they provide an interesting ride. But this only adds to the character of the Gypsy.

Congratulation The Red Devil, i can understand the way you feel after getting a brand new gypsy. My love for gypsy will never go down, its the only vehicle i take out for a spin when i get stressed out. My gypsy is 7yrs young and still going strong.

Drive your gypsy for at least 5K kms before you change something, AC is one basic need in our country. Yokohama geolanders AT 215-75-R15 is the best upgrade for a gypsy, with these types you don't need a power steering. K&N air filter(stock), complete Free flow exhaust are two essential needs for a stock gypsy, both will improve the power with no compromise on FE. Exhaust note of Auto mech FFE can be customized if you don't want that loud note.

Wow. Thanks a lot on this great list of upgrades. As you can understand I am completely broke right now. So the only upgrade I am able to afford is a mobile holder. I am also saving up for a Bhutan trip coming up in November.

I do agree with the requirement for a bit more power which I will be looking into after that trip. I had considered upgrading the tyres but I really loved the character these bouncy MRF Estate tyres provide. I suppose I am used to it having a Land Rover Defender as my other car.

The AC update should be coming soon once the money in the bank is back to a healthy level.

Hope to hear more from you all on what other things I should consider upgrading.

Sudden breaking is a big concern with stock tyres, one has to be very cautious while breaking at speeds above 60kmph.

Yes, the mattress is perfect and it helps me keep the weight down as well. My next job is to come up with a way to attach mosquito net on the window without messing up the looks inside.
