One more "Southie" waiting with bated breath for an affordable and good looking HT that can be installed down south. Would love something that has opening roof panels and better yet an easily removable roof !

Re: The most practical & best looking Hardtop - Mahindra Thar

Got the Hard Top fitted from Bimra 3-4 months back. The job was done is 3 days as agreed.

This is my daily drive + weekend OTR vehicle. The hard top has taken everything in its stride. No squeaks and rattles. Abolutely silent inside. It has also taken the strong rainfall in the past few weeks and kept totally dry.

Will update again after 6 months of usage.

Some pics.

Re: The most practical & best looking Hardtop - Mahindra Thar

The finish lines need to improve, there is still roughness in finish around the glass panels.

Also safety. The bent part which covers the rear tail gate can easily be bent by a pen knife and pried open.

I was there yesterday at your place in Sector 18 and noticed these things.

Where is your R & D on the removable panels hard top like the Hyderabad one ?
Is a prototype ready to see ?

I agree;Hyderabad HT looks good but costs almost twice as much.

Hi Preetham

I guess you are you early, I am nowhere close to the magical figure of 10 hard tops to place a bulk order!

Cheers!

Thank you for the suggestions sir. We are still in the early stages of development and it will take a few months before a prototype is ready to be seen. As i said i will keep on updating.

As per the competitors feedback the Hyderabad high hard top with opening panels leaks.

Is it true > Will some actual user verify the true fact please ?

I have the HHT Short with removable panels. Even though, the true test would be during the monsoons, it does leak a wee bit during routine wash. It's not a deal breaker though(monsoon might be a different story). Having said that, comparing it with competition that does not have openable panels would not be fair as you always have the option of buying the HHT without the openable panels. Even though I have mixed feeling about the HT, it does seem better than the competition in terms of looks and finish.

Thanks

Point well taken I will go for it the Hyderabad tall with removable panels.

Fixing of leaks can be addressed not a disaster there are sealants to take care.

Is Prabhu doing some improvement R & D ?

Wow that's a neat looking hard top indeed.
Have been following all the Thar threads very closely hence I can quite surely say that this isn't the Bimbra, HHT or the Performance Auto hardtop.

Recently looked at Jeep clinic's website.(http://jeepclinic.com/?page_id=16050)
Their FRP Hard Top Type 2 seems to resemble this one.
For a moment I thought I've found it
Its actually quite close from the side view although completely diff from the top and rear.
So to sum it up - still no luck
