ribbon mid-tweeter -> 700-35000 hz
tweeter -> 950 - 25000 hz

1) the mid ribbon tweeter is having a high freq range than the tweeter so why it is used as a mid range.....not a tweeter only.....

2) the midrange freq starts from nearly 150-200 hz and goes up to 10000 hz but the midrage starts for 700 hz ....is the midbass does the job well in the absent section....

The ribbon mid-tweeter is also capable of being used in a 2way config as a tweeter... as seen here

Yes, in 3way config the midbass (woofer) is perfectly capable of handling frequencies upto the crossover point designed in the Mille crossover. In fact, as you pointed out, it has a great top end.

What you have to understand is, the Mille 2way set was designed as a reference product to shadow all other reference products. The midbass and the tweeter are both fantastic designs and add to that the crossover. As a 2way system, this set EATS up the competition, other 3ways included.

The Mille 3way set was designed for situations where the same midbass and tweetr drivers had to be used in a 3way setup. Not that a 3way was needed, but to cater to people who dont want to compromise in any way shape or manner. So when they added a ribbon driver, they intended to give the set a slightly different sound from the 2way set. The 3way set also uses an elaborate crossover with top notch components, which further helps create what is known as "The Sound Experience".

The 3way crossover, as seen here...

Vikram!! that issue was long settled. Read the Last page of a thread before posting to know what's being discussed at the moment.

And Mr. KB will be glad to start this debate again and somebody will suggest him to go for dual stereo setup and he'll buy 2 more IDQs and another TRU amp!

WOKAY FOLKS!!

Next step of my install ... Components have landed!!!...

After careful consideration and long hours of research - remember it was the front components that brought me to this forum to begin with way back in Feb this year - After careful consideration and LOOOng hours of research I have decided to go in for the HERTZ Hi-Energy 3-Way Components HSK 163 - 3W.30 - A Three way system deriving from the combination of HV-165L woofer (paper pulp rules!!), HD-500 dome midrange and HT-25 tweeter. The 3W.30 crossover has low-loss inductors, polypropylene capacitors, ceramic resistors etc etc which allow for both the mid and the tweeeter levels to be adjusted! .. Boy the Crossovers are heavy!!...

Have been reading wonderful things about this set .. and talk of Hertz speakers seems to be hotting up all over the world!

Pics coming up tmw!!

Sir, how'bout getting one of those LRX amps to power your speakers and let the Tru power the subs in 2 channel mode?
