Welcome back. Been enjoying your travelogue a lot. The humor in the writing really helps. Thought I'd get a glimpse at the Pune JBL showroom opening, but you were still traipsing all over Europe

Yes I missed the opening of JBL pune. Was it good opening, is it a good looking showroom? Did you get any pictures?

What can I say...JBL is BLOODY popular. Compared to the pics you've posted, this one is pretty tiny; sorta like a Chihuahua in your hands ; the pedigree's there, but size does matter.
Didn't get pics, as all I'd have snapped were various backsides, a lot of them unflattering; the showroom was packed! I believe Sahil was there coz he went to Poona Motors and also had a look at my setup that was being upgraded. I'm sure he's got some.

With plastic, dear yogi dear yogi. Just use a cover from a dashboard. Or better use a pocket, you know the kind that will come out of a verna, when you install a HU.
Cover it nicely, verna bahut kharab lagega.

You should get it at any decent installers place. They remove it from other cars to fit the HU.

It is great to see you back. This section badly missed all the women/sex talk for a long time.

JBL GTO937 versus Polk Audio db691 - Anyone.??

Hey Guyz,

Given a standard Alpine 9883 HU and no amp to go with it, any technical gurus here can help me choose between the JBL GTO937 versus the Polk Audio db691.

Just need some tech / practical advice, plss

Cheers

Why don't you try listening to them? It is the most practical suggestion I can give.

Never tried the db691, but 937 is a very good option.

I find both the Polk db series and JBL bright, but then again I find a lot of speakers (home and car) bright.
