1. You can. The sound will sound "phasey". i dont know how to explain this in words but it is most prominent in the midrange.

2. No. phase is relative.

There are several test discs which help identify correct left-right channel connections, and reverse polarity. That should help you out.

Both speakers in reverse polarity is sometimes desirable. One speaker in reverse polarity is not. You can check for the latter by using music which has some prominent bass and shifting the balance to and fro from one of the speakers to center position. While doing this, fade entirely to the front and switch off the sub if there is one. If the bass increases when only one speaker is playing, i.e. reduces due to cancellation when both are, then you have one of the speakers in reverse polarity. Thus you can check by inverting one speaker at a time and keeping the connection where the result is best.

Thanks. Does anyone have a link where I can record this test signal and playback in the CD player?

harmon_bro, that is a very interesting post about Metal Effects. Maybe this guy has some idea about music sound. It would be interesting to know what kind of music he likes!

I think yours would be the second all Blau setup we have in our forum and glad that you are happy.

The prices you got the HU did surprise me! and should surprise others here! A Blau bermuda MP35 HU for less than 5k! wow.

But wasnt the 6x9 too costly? You could have saved some money there I guess. THx series are slimmer ones and hence costly.
Hi JKdas,
I had a question, Is there a provision to connect Amp and to this Blau unit? I mean Is there a preout kind of thing which can connect to Amp to drive mu 12inch poineer subs. And can we control on the headunit to control the output to the sub?

I am getting a very good offer to buy this head unit, 6 months old for Rs3000( with b&W, still some warranty left). Is it a good deal?
Thanks

Bermuda MP 35 has two sets preamp out (2V) which you can connect to an amp to power your sub.

Since its not a "sub out", controlling sub liek you said from HU is doubtful. Most mono amps and some amps provide with external wired remote for controlling the gain.

for 3K, its a good buy.

Ok, you mean to say that it has 2 sets, of which one can drive the Front comps and rear speakers and other can drive the sub. Is it?
Should it not have three sets, one each for sub, fronts and rear speaker?
Which is the most basic(VFM) MP3 HU which gives these features

I think some CDs should always be there, this causes less dust to settle on the lense. How does the 6 CD changer work, I don't know, but this is true gor all regular CD players / Changers (Home Music systems)

Nothing wrong in leaving the CDs in the CD Changer.

I agree with Ashok. No harm in leaving the CDs inside the changer all the time.
