I got the parts from Sai Service Borivali (E). Costed my 181/-

I managed to put the Cable and also attach the switches. But man the Boot Lock is hard to open. I think there is some kind of bolt below the nut, I was not able to open it with all my might.

Can anyone help me on that please or do I have to go to a Mechanic.

I actually requested Techno to get me a set from Pune as I was not getting it in Bangalore. My service guy said if there are a few people interested then he can order set of 5-6 but he doesnt want to order just one.

I also asked him for the VXi external mirrors which are internally adjustable.

Are you trying a DYI on a WagonR Lxi ? If yes, do let me know how it goes and the part details.

The bootlid bug

After reading this thread could not sleep on Monday and Tuesday. Took 2 hrs off from office and went to Essar automobile to find the spares are out of stock. Searched in J.C road could find only cable in CAR Automobiles and paid 170rs and brought it. Went back to ESSAR ordered all spares. Their executive Shankar helped me to get the spares. He called me three time to update the status and on Saturday and confirmed the spares availability. Got the spares and finished the job in 15Min on Sunday morning before the breakfast

exactly what i needed. 1 question. Why would you have to change the fuel lid cable? can't the existing cable work?

Hi,
You can use the cable but needs to route properly, otherwise boot lid will not lock. But it is manageable just role the cable and don't tie near right corner of the wheel well
