Re: 2022 MG ZS EV Facelift Review

MG is offering discounts of 2.3 lakhs on ZS EV this month as part of Monsoon Fest.

Surely this is the best time to buy one because 1. It's readily available off the shelf. & 2. Discount has become a rare thing post Covid19.

Getting the hang of how to drive this car, efficiently but not compromising on the fun.. Figures from a short highway trip this morning (Bangalore - Krishnagiri highway) 🙂

Re: 2022 MG ZS EV Facelift Review

I am getting a feeling that the regen has been modified after the recent software upgrade. Earlier it used to kickin as soon as I remove my foot from the accelerator, but now its bit smooth and I am forced to use the break more often.
Anyone else facing the same?

Nope have not noticed it. Yet.
IT also depends on the speed and incline of the road you are on.

And also the SOC. If it is above 97%, regen breaking is not much aggressive in comparison.

Above 97% Regen does not kick in - I have rationalised that this could be because there is no space in the battery to collect the regenerated power back But nevertheless less, it is not due to the upgrade.
Additionally, my car went to the workshop for the first service and had an ECM update too.
Surprisingly, there is no visibility to what the updates actually bring.

Is any ZS facelift coming soon for them to offer such a discount?

I am looking for ZS to replace my Venue, should I wait?

Thank you! Couldn't find any auto-wiper function. Looked through the owner's manual too, but didn't see any mention of the same. Also, I fixed the Bluetooth volume issue - turns out my phone's volume had been set too low.
Auto wiper is on if the two dashes are on the same line instead of a dash against the O. Twist it to keep it on the same line and it's turned on. There are YouTube videos showing how to turn on Auto wiper on mg zs ev.

It does kick-in. Notice the power figures which is around -7% in that case.

Once you deaccelerate completely, the power does go in negative even when the SOC is above 97%, but it will never show in green, which is when the actual regeneration happens.

I am also trying to figure out whether ADAS will be available as an add on kit for existing owners. I have a 5 month old ZS EV exclusive.

No. Under no circumstances whatsoever. If you want ADAS, trade in with a new one quickly before you lose much value.

You don't need a contact to Install a dashcam. Just order one which suits your needs and go to any local workshop or accessories shop. They all know how to conceal the dashcam wire these days.
