one more issue for me... i've added 2.1 speakers from creative(it doesn't have wireless remote) through headphone socket. For headphone, there is separate volume control..but its too painful go 2 or more levels of menu to control volume and more importantly mute button doesnt work for headphone socket.

Just wanted to know whether the audio out(RCA socket in the rear side) option can be controlled by the mute/main volume control from the remote?

Any chances of retailers fiddling with the prices prior to IPL season ?

If anyone has experienced this previous season , it would be good news for me to hold back a few weeks

The latest rates for Panasonic in Devi International Bangalore is 44.5 and 49.5 respectively for 42" PV8 and PV80. Did anybody get better rates of late?

You can get the PV8 for 44k. Refer to my post#2605 in this thread. The PV80's price is not worth the extra features (glossy border and SD slot). Try for 43.5 or lower for the PV8.

anybody bought pana lx800 recently? Been to Panasonic shop in Koramangala, guy quoting 44K as best price. Croma is selling at 42 K..so dont understand what is the exclusivity of Panasonic brand shop.

Any references?

My friend managed to get a PV8 for 42k from ezone including a free HDMI cable. However I missed that offer. Now they dont stock it and the best I could get is 44.5k as of now.

i haven;t faced any of the above mentioned issues in the last 6 months of viewing. Take a plunge you'll never regret your decision.

ZERO - if you follow the run-in process for the first 100 hrs.

Nothing noticeable. My power bills continue to remain the same - if any maaaaaaybe Rs. 50 more (averaging out over the last 6 months)

Oh yes - with two kids my TV sees on an avg about 10 hrs of use every day - minimum!

DUH --- whaaat???

The unit does not even come with a built in fan - the heat sinks provided are obviously doing a swell job. A few spots on the back panels may feel slightly warm to the touch - but nothing remotely approaching HOT! (I am willing to bet its within 50dec Centigrade!) as a matter of fact my CRT TV rear cover used to get warmer!

Hope this helped!

So this actually represents a saving!
Seeing as how power tariffs have gone up in this period!
