I was also looking to buy that one. But the viewing angle is very bad and the apeakers give very low sound. If you are planning to play xbox alone why not consider a HD LED Tv.

VIERA TH-P42U30D | Panasonic

i am a but bewildered since Panasonic brand showroom is selling it for some 29 K Where as flipkart is selling it for some 42 K . not sure how come but has the prices gone down so much off lately really . What is known to me that Online retailers keep their prices to realistic levels , how;s this thing possible.
The P42U30D is not available anywhere now. What The Panasonic Shop is offering you is the P42X30D for 29K.

I ordered a P42U30D from Flipkart when it was showing as available, I paid them and after a week they cancelled the order and refunded my money, telling me that the P42U30D is not available.

Finally after a lot of searching I found it at a dealer and bought it for 41K. I wanted to buy another one but it is not available anywhere now.

Please confirm the model being offered with the Panasonic shop. They are surely quoting you the P42X30D or the L42U30D

re: The TV Thread - LCD, Plasma, LED etc.

Has anyone bought the LG LW4500, 3D LED television? I have checked samsung, LG and Panny and found that this television is really good compared to equivalent models in Samsung and other brands. Any thoughts on this please?

I have LG 47LW5700 3D LED tv and Iam happy with the purchase. If you are comparing it with any 3D tv the main advantage is that it uses passive 3D and is a pleasure to watch compared to other brands.

I bought this model(42 inch) 10 days back and am very happy with the quality. Specially the 3D effects. Picture quality is also good and overall VFM if someone is not considering smart TV.
I bought it from Croma Bangalore who gave me a better deal than Reliance Digital.

Cheers.

re: The TV Thread - LCD, Plasma, LED etc.

Have been trying to hunt for Pana Plasma for over a week now in Mumbai;
ST30 - 42 inches (not available)
ST30 - 50 inches (not available)
VT30 - 50 inches (not available)
VT36 - 65 inches (Rs.229k)

Dont want to spend over 65k over a 42"; however note that even the Panasonic local rep said that there is no stock. He said he can get one for me from Pune but that will cost be 74k for a 42 incher!

My questions as below:
1) What is a decent price for the Plasma - ST30 both 42 & 50 incher?
2) Is panasonic in the process of launching a new Plasma which is more affordable
3) Just loved the VT30 (65") at Croma in Malad but is out of my budget completely; so should I wait for a while till stocks reach Mumbai

I look forward to hearing from you soon; as I need to buy the TV by Sunday; if not Pana = which is the best that equals or is better than Pana Plasma

Cheers

Saildrive
I think Panasonic is going to launch 2012 series.
Dont know but pl confirm from them. I recollect seeing their website mentioning new products to be launched. Even some passive 3D model. So may be worthwhile to wait for it. But dont know when in India shall they launch. Seen it on some global website though.

I bought the 42" ST30 Pana Plasma last month (P42ST30D, MRP is 82.9K).
I paid Rs.60k and also got one additional 3D glass/eyewear. See previous pages on this thread for more information including my queries, shortlists and final purchase decision. Picture Quality is superb on the plasmas as compared to the LED's !
The VT series is the higher end (more expensive than ST series) but does not come in 42" screen size. If I remember correctly VT50 will be 100k or more.

Thanks, @NPV. No wonder the 42" X is going for so less - 35K at Reliance Digital.
