Congrats Jaggu. That's a great price. I bought iP4 16Gb 4.1 unlocked & JB in Singapore for roughly INR 33k. For a 32G, officially unlocked...it's a steal!!

Thank's guys, this time i didn't feel to be loyal to Airtel. Only reason being the delay of launch, bad bad Airtel!

oh by the way 4.1 JB and Unlock is out for Windows also

My factory unlocked iphone 4 (16gb) has been delivered to my cousin in Hong Kong! Will take till December till I get it though!

Quite a steal for ~28000 INR!

So i guess HK and UAE are the cheapest place to pick iPhone 4 from. Similar price there for 16 Gig.

Yep! Are the ones in UAE unlocked, or do you have to JB them?

They are factory unlocked, and can be jailbroken if you want.

Guys,

I am in a big mess. I had an iPhone 3GS running on firmware 4.0.1 but yesterday it just wouldn't sync with iTunes which mean I could no longer install any apps or music. I did a hard reset but that didn't improve things so I did a restore to factory setting.

Since then on my phone was stuck at apple logo at the start and just wouldn't boot. I did a restore with a downloaded 4.0.1 firmware and now I am stuck at the emergency call screen. To jailbreak and then unlock I need to activate it which I was doing using the DITS Phonebook SIM but that doesn't seems to be working now.

Can anyone tell me how can I activate my iPhone without the original carrier SIM?

Are you able to activate temporarily and then it again locks. If so follow the link.

I shall be going to Dubai next week. Just wanted to know where can I get iPhone 4 over there. Any pointers?

As far as i know they are terribly short of supply, so best is to check with your local contacts and try to book it at DU (Telecom provider).

4.2 GM (gold master) is out, which means its gonna come to iTunes shortly.

Guys, I've bought my iphone 4 from Hong Kong for use in Sweden/India and since iphones don't come with worldwide warranty, I guess I have to get Apple Care.

My question is, can I just purchase an Apple Care plan in Sweden for an iphone that I've bought in Hong Kong?
