Whoa!!!

Successfully updated from iOS 4.0.1 to 4.3

All settings, apps, games, music, photo, sms, call history, ringtones, wallpaper, mail are intact. No sign of hotspot, but I can see gamecentre.

Checked in iTunes and shows the version as 4.3 and the same is reflected in iPhone too.

Will check safari and update.

You don't see the option of Personal Hotspot in Settings, between Wi-Fi and Notifications?
It used to be Internet Tethering earlier, i think.

Yes, I can now see. Problem before was, Cellular data was disabled. So no hotspot shown. Once I enabled, it showed up.

And yes, for 3GS, hotspot is limited to BT and USB. Same as internet tethering. And for iP4, it should be available for Wifi too.

But still surprised, how I got all data and settings intact. It is the first time this has happened.

The Gamecenter icon was there prior to this update. I think it came with 4.2.

Hi,

Successfully updated the my iPhone4 to IOS 4.3. Tried downloading the update from itunes twice but the download gave error at halfway point twice. Then downloaded from other link provided in this thread a couple of pages back. After downloading updated the IOS. The updation took only around 5 mins. I see the Personal Hotspot Setting added. Also in my experience the performance of SAFARI does seem to be a bit faster now.

Game Center came with OS 4.1. That's what I have and will continue to have cause I have to wait for an unlock for 4.3.

BTW, my Game Center id is VSHL07 for anyone that wants to add.

I always ensure a full back up plus transfer of purchases are done before update. It helps in smooth setup, only the folders I have to setup after a restore. For wifi hotspot, set up your apn and enable tethering. In iPhone 4 have to activate wifi tethering, don't know about iPhone 3GS.

Loving it since am using the iPad hooked to phone wifi to post this, sitting in a hotel room with unreasonableb wifi charges and Internet speed

Upgraded to 4.3 but internet tethering option is gone! How can i downgrade to 4.2.1 or have to enable internet tethering in some way( searched but got no option)

You should turn on Enable data to see the Personal Hotspot.
